When I'm just done recording a cover, I've heard it so many times and know all of its ins and outs that I genuinely hate it, but coming back to it now, I think that 1:40 moment between the rhythm/lead guitars, rhodes piano, bass and drums is probably the coolest thing I've arranged so far :)

Unpopular opinion but i think this is waaay better/fitting than the hard rock ver...everything dont fit hard rock, but this is a good blend. New subbie!

The problem with some of those 'more sophisticated' lines is that you have to spend sooo much time practicing :D Sometimes it's insane really. If I didn't have to work full time, I'd be doing way more of these covers as I feel I'm slowly finding my style and a rhythm to doing them, but... I have to live somewhere and somehow afford all these great guitars! ;) More will come, I promise, thanks for listening ^^

Yeah, I can very well imagine that! I gave up trying to learn those insane Paul Gilbert licks a few years ago, but seeing you apply them to VGM makes me want to start practicing again! (and now I might get addicted to Racer X once more :P)

After almost a decade of practicing the same licks over and over again I had to abandon them, or I wouldn't be able to do anything else :P Fortunately enough, some of them are still embedded in my muscle memory so with a bit of effort I can get them out. If I had to do it again, I don't think I'd spend that much time on them because there are so many more important things you could learn on guitar :)
