I've found it fantastic. I hope we get to see what the letter says in part 4. I'm sure we all concluded that once the flame would die out it was your turn but maybe since she was trying to keep her flame going the creature entrusted her with the watch and made a deal? Even though her flame went out in the end

okay, I was watching it 5times now, and there are so many connections. At the beginning you can hear a "tick-tack", the same sound coming in when the hand of the creature opens and reveal the clock. So the creature was in the same room with them at the beginning. The green candlelight. Even at the beginning the candle of the girl on the left is glowing green for a little moment when she gets blown out. While the creature is near, you can see that the candle reacts with a green color to it. In 1904 the old lady sits in front of a green glowing candle, the same candle from 1870. The candle stands for life. Knowing she will die with her last action against the creatures, she extinguishes the green flame. I think it's a symbolic act, to call the creature. So now it's important to know what she has written and why she feels so good with this action. There are some other little details in it, as the picture on the wall of her and her family (the Connaught). It is the newspaper picture we have seen at the beginning. It seems that she lives isolated? and did you remarked that there is somebody else in the forest at 6:34? who the hell is this? Maybe this explains the smiling creature at the end... I hope Maria has written down good information to stop the creatures! I am very excited about what will happen! Overall a awesome short film series! It is extremely exciting and well staged :)

This is probably one of the highest quality "amateur" films I've ever seen! Absolutely gorgeous. If i didn't know better i would think this is from a big time director scheduled for a Halloween release.

@ indeed yes i watched all three parts in a row but from whistle 2 and whistle 3 i am trying to figure out what could be the origin ...ugh my brain hurts ...but hats off to the story. hats off to you klaus

@@shotknot-t9y I am very happy you liked the story! :) There are two big gaps, I want to fill with the next part: 1. what happened to the guy from part 1 until he appears at the end of part 2 2. the woman in the red coat owns the clock. The clock Maria had hidden before she died (part 3) The next questions I want to answer will be: What is the origin of the creature and how will it all end? This probably requires that I split part 4, but we will see what I can do with low budget :P Trying my best as always! Cheers Klaus

You truly embodied the year 1870 incredibly well. So this part explains why the clock (firstly appeared in chapter 2) is so important. And in the end, no one knows where Maria buried it. Question answered and new question opened. you are doing good in storytelling! it never gets boring

Insbesondere - wie immer - war die Postproduktion richtig stark und die Geschichte aus einer ehemaligen Zeit zu erzählen war eine super Idee 👌🏻 Schauspielerische Leistungen waren gegenüber der vorherigen Teile nun auch deutlich besser. It was a bit tricky :) We did two different shots for this scene, that were cut in the right place. The rest was done in post with Adobe After Effects :)

You are right, we are working with a budget of 100 - 250€. This results in a bunch of work, but I would never release something I am not comfortable with. I have set high standards to myseld, and I try my best to reach them. Unfortunately, the low budget limits me. I have really big ideas and imagination that I have to reduce more and more. But one is for sure, I improve weaknesses directly to deliver a much better result with the next short film. Sound fx and music are fantastically mixed and you generate an awesome atmosphere! 10/10 Acting is way batter than in previous parts, the girl did a very good job! congrats! 9/10 Cut and post-production are... idk... way over the top, there are no words who describe it the way I want :D meanwhile it is known that you work without a budget and I do not understand how that is possible. An only possible reason, you are a badass editor! Man you need to go professional! 100/10 Storytelling: I like your way how you tell a story. Mostly it ends as it starts, but now things have changed, questions were answered and new questions are there. it's like a game. The girl Maria has never defended herself, maybe this is the key to survive. But why she received the clock? And what was she writing in the letter? Anyone has an idea?

My theory is that she received the clock, cause the creature gives her "time". The question is "time for what?" Regarding the letter, I assume that Maria places important info here, especially because the fact, that she is hiding it incl the clock somewhere deep in the forest. Probably for posterity. Considering the fact that she kills herself "joyfully" afterward suggests that she thinks she has, after all these years, found a way to take revenge on the creature and now escape punishment. The letter is exciting!

the letter seems important. The clock is a symbol for time (maybe filled with souls of killed people?) and I think Maria is a key protagonist in this series. I hope somebody will find the chest in the next part. Maybe there is a solution. As always at the end, the cliffhanger leaving you in doubt.. the creature's smile :D masterpiece!
