I really feel like right now is not the time or place to be asking for people to help a kickstart. Most people are outta work not knowing where their money is going to come from. Now I understand those who can donate and want this will, and that's great. But they probably won't go very far with just those people. Most fans who want this probably can't donate during this crazy time. I still think the people involved could fund this themselves for the most part. This didn't work last time, let's see how it goes this time around.

I know you guys are excited to see this through to fruition, as am I, but you couldn't have picked a worse time to start this up again. May have been a better idea to do this after a few more months with a week or two hype-up campaign beforehand. As much as I would like to contribute, I'm currently surviving solely off credit and I'm sure many others are as well. Technically, I can't even afford bread.

@@MercenaryTau money is used to pay themselves as part of the cost of making the movie, it's because they are trying to build an income which I understand....but timing is way off and I doubt a Kickstarter when the batman one is / was still running.doesnt bore well.

What upsets me is between all the people involved they could probably find this themselves. Or at least the first time they did this, I'm sure they could have easily matched the donations the first time and made this happen. I believe last time it made 250k, and they gave up. Really between jdf and batinthesun they couldn't match that to reach their goal? I agree this is a horrible time to start this back up.

Agreed. This is a terrible time to think people are in a position to donate money to something like this. This needs to be shelved for at least 3ish months. Asking people to donate at a time like this is a bit out of place. Yes I understand they are ASKING and it is just a request. But my point still stands. :)

They already tried once to fund this last year but it did not even get half of what they needed.

XLIVLP That’s why they lowered the goal and made the initial goal from before the new stretch goal, as well as double the time people can pledge. It will have no problem making 100K and I’m certain it’ll reach 250K since it made over 200 last time in half the time. 500K we’ll see but I wouldn’t rule that out either.

@@XLIVLP Everyone that was part of donating over 200K last time has been notified of the campaign coming back since before Batman started, with the new lower 100K amount. I do agree however that the virus will impact it, just not so much that it wont make 100-250K.

I wish more people would do this sort of thing. Are you a fan of Dragon Ball and wish you could make DBZ cartoons? Make Shmagon Ball. Want to make a Bat man film? Make a Demon Man film instead. Put your own spin on it. Bring in other ideas that interest and excite you. Make it your own. Fan works are great, but why are fan films often the best independent works I see?
