Keith Freakin' Moon! Stamping that left foot, and without a high-hat! Amazing!

I thought I'd seen most all of the early Who clips, but this was new to me. And never heard "Man with the Money" before. Thank you! What a treat!

"Man With The Money" is an Everly Brothers cover.

The Who recorded a superb version of The Every Brothers' "Man With The Money" which you can hear with other terrific bonus tracks on the A Quick One While He's Away CD reissue. The reissue is also great for John Astley's astute remixing, vastly superior to the horrid original Kit Lambert mixes. Grab a copy.

even with a small kit, moon was amazing to watch and as he was a huge beach boys fan....im sure keith talked the boys into covering barbara ann

It would have been great if Jeff Stein had used this clip of "Barbara Ann" somewhere near the early part of TKAA film, and then the later 1977 studio jam in the film would have a nice counterbalance. This is kind of a strange set list (Substitute and My Generation notwithstanding), but I imagine they picked songs they thought a French audience would like. Thanks for posting: As others have mentioned, I have never seen any of this, and I've been deep into the 'Oo since 1979: Kudos!

It’s hard to tell by this, but I can tell by the way Moon was playing and how he was riding the cymbals with the side of the sticks it was freaking LOUD.

Entwistle smashing that bass lead on My Gen and they don't show it? The cinematographer must've been tripping. John could snap those cables like they were high E strings!

I read that Moon really liked The Beach Boys and that’s why they played Barbara Ann and he sang on it.

This footage is superb evidence countering all the bollocks about Keith Moon not being able to play a steady beat & only playing continuous shambolic drums solos thru Who songs, as if he were some untrained, randomly flailing cartoon dervish. Absolute nonsense. Moon was a consummate musician, and very much a "song drummer."
