The explosion that started Pete Townshend's hearing loss. It exploded right in back of him, he is even touching his right ear when the smoke starts to clear and his hair is all messed up. But I never liked destroying your guitars like that. They are much too valuable and mean a lot to a musician. I would never do that to my musical instruments.

Late in the day to reply I know. They were miming to a recorded track, as was common on TV shows back then. Moon either couldn't mime well that day, or more likely didn't care to make it look good.

Rockers 9as in the fans) need to grow up. It's all an act. The songs are great and very real, but the act is just that. It's an act. I still see people who are all into the destruction of the guitars amps and drums. It's time to grow up. It was time when you turned 30. Pete Townshend hated doing it at the time.

Having seen then 4 or 5 time's In England {just out side of London} before they "Invaded America" I can confirm THIS WAS PATHETIC COMPARED to their Live show''s in small 'Dance Venue's' before they were 'filmed' for TV. True, they didn't have false smoke back then {LOL} but they knocked the shit out of the amp's and Keith's drum's ended up all over the stage.
