70-whatever years old, and still able to (almost) pull up that scream...no comments, hats off

Roger definitely showing his age but at 78 wow. Had a great time.
@mensink972 жыл бұрын
How do you notice and see that?
@stevedrums16752 жыл бұрын
Sounds better than most of his peers, isn’t using backing tracks or lowering the key of the songs. So if he’s showing his age at 78 then sign me up for being in his shape if and when I get there.

@@stevedrums1675 Me too. Had a backup singer w him like most of the older guys do like Steve Miller and John Hiatt. He’s almost 80.

OMG...Thank you for posting!! Attended last night with my son. I was there in 79. This concert was 2 things.....GREAT....and HEALING. Long live ROCK...I need it EVERY night.

Just an epic show! Made me ugly cry a couple of times. So beautiful!

@@tammysalyers I gotta admit, I got just a tad misty myself. We were 15 feet from the ONE door that opened. Somehow we survived, and were in seats in 9 minutes!! It always bothered me of HOW they died. To celebrate them last night in such a way....Was AWESOME.

You’re very welcome. I’m glad you enjoyed the show and we’re able to take your son. That’s really cool. I took mine to see them in Louisville in 2016. They won’t know how lucky they were until somebody tells them years from now. Then it will sink in that they saw one of the most iconic bands to ever hit the stage. The Who and The Stones are a must see!

@@JDsLiveMusic My son is 27 and I've made sure he's seen The Who, Eric Clapton (with Roger Daltery warming up), Kiss, Roger Waters doing The Wall, Jeff Beck, Rush, Joe Bonnamassa, Heart, Metallica. The Stones were a LITTLE too pricey....but I did see them in 82 and 89. The show last night was INSANE good.

@@joemauntel9381 You’re son is lucky to have you for a dad. He’ll thank you one day for all of the great music you’ve exposed him to. And yes the show was awesome last night! Might just need to see them again before the tour is over.

7:46: I don't often lose my mind at concerts, but when that happened? I absolutely lost my mind. I followed it up with my own fist raising and scream, and I think that everyone in the section I was in heard it. LOL!
@JDsLiveMusic2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that was one helluva scream, especially for 78-year old man. I doubt many singers can pull that off at that age. He’s still got it!

@@JDsLiveMusic Watching some other recordings from this tour, well…that scream *may* have had some “backing assistance.” But ya know what? I don’t even care. Roger brought it all night long in Cincy, for sure.

Nah. Not real. But nostalgic..

@@MyVeryHappyDay Yeah, I'm A-OK if Roger used some vocal assistance on "the scream." It sure sounded to me like he was 100% live otherwise that evening.

That camera being in the way was annoying! Isn’t it interesting how the song is still topical.. Great performance! I grew up with The Who, great to see ‘em still rockin
@JDsLiveMusic2 жыл бұрын
Yeah tell me about it. I knew from the get go he was going to ruin the quality of the videos. If I cut the camera guy off, I could only get about half of Pete. Very annoying to say the least. And yes the song is very appropriate at this time.

Drums are very quiet!
@JDsLiveMusic2 жыл бұрын
Yeah I commented to several people that the drums were not loud enough and cymbals barely audible.
@stevedrums16752 жыл бұрын
The drums are electronic as are the cymbals. Probably to protect Pete’s hearing
@joannbelcher35762 жыл бұрын
They really didn't seem that quiet watching it live. But then again I was probably focused waiting on the scream to see how it came out. Somehow my dumb ass ended up second row center. I was happy as a hog in s*** all night long.
