It’s sad when she sees her shut down footage. To see how much WallE did to protect her and keep her safe. And she realises how much he loved her. And how long he was a lone for and all he wanted was to love somebody

And that’s where her character arc begins! After seeing how kind WALL-E was to her, EVE becomes a much kinder and more loving robot, rather than a trigger-happy, impulsive machine. It’s honestly so beautiful how WALL-E is the catalyst for much of the change that happens in the film. Why, without him, The Captain would never have become curious about Earth; the humans would have never experienced life, M-O would never have found friendship, and EVE would never have become the sweet robot she is. He is truly a noble hero.
