The truth is that detty december in Ghana is organic. People go there not just to attend musical jams but to relax and go places. The ones in Lagos as means of promoting tourism are organized to impress the world, especially this year, which seemed to have attracted a lot of Nigerians and non Nigerians in the diaspora. It's only this year the argument about who initiated detty December cropped up, cos the traffic in Lagos this time around was impressive. Hence, we felt that we have arrived. Had the Ghana election gone into second round, it would have been held in 28th December. All the uncertainty made Ghanaians not to fully commit to this year's preparation and with that they still were and are able to attract large crowds everywhere. I think should be no dragging about which is the ideal to be. Do your homework and put your structures in place, then people will choose which of the two destinations they should go.
