So Bungie recently dropped a new secret exotic mission for Wicked Implement (a so so Stasis Scout Rifle). I thought this mission would be a walk in the park and, I don't know about you, but it wasn't. We struggled hard. Here's what happened.

Wicked in my experience actually is pretty monstrous in PVE with the Cadmus Lancecap on titan. At least, it gave me a ton of fun

@@SavvyMon4 well if I lanced a yellow bar it lost a good portion of its HP, plus it is built to synergize insanely well with stasis. Mix that with mods like elemental charge and you have constant armor charge. Ny build isn't the best but sp far its proven to be both good in pve, and fun.

To be completely honest, no. Even though I went in under leveled, my buddy and I got through it in only three tries with some random guy we pulled from an lfg. The key was using Divinity on the Tormentor to be able to kill it easier.

@@TrashCanBoiBoi what do you mean by "drill stage"? All I remember about the mission is killing the honed taken dudes and the bosses themselves. As for recommendation for Omen: all I can say is that on my clear attempt, I used Thunderlord with the catalyst as a Thunder Crash Arc Titan and I played with randoms, so I didn't know their loadouts.

Probably my favorite Exotic mission too, because the part where the strategy just click in me (find a narrow corridor and we start blasting with linear) is the best because we dont have div. And using Swarmer to unravel the Tormentor is pretty nice and the Strand sidearm, it hits like a truck on top of homing projectile.

6:30 the best strat is to run well lock+div and 2 thunder lords for consistant dps and also open up the dmg to the tomentor boss as you deal massively reduced dmg to it unless you're hitting crit and div solve that problem. Me and my frds used the exact same loadouts and got it first try with around 50 seconds left on the clock. If you're trying to get the scout and having trouble with the boss I strongly recommend you to try this. thunderlords is not a must but to me its just consistant, Div however is a must for tormentors.

Chilled touch literally was the only reason that mission felt so impossibly hard, such an annoying modifier in an encounter where EVERYTHING IS A MELEE Also the tormentor being aztecross XD

The worst thing is probably that they attached the exotic mission directly to them. Which means that people that want to do the base activity have to contend with people who dip after realizing you aren't going for the exotic. Leaving you down a guardian in an activity they won't allow you to invite anyone into after it starts. Which sucks if you are trying for tier 7 chests.

we had a well-lock with pheonix, myself with the flight deck warlock helmet with div on a arc warlock, and a t crash titan. it took us like half an hour total and did on the 2nd attempt and had plenty of left over time. i was honestly confused with people struggling on it. though we kinda went in with a plan. the solar would keep the tormentor distracted while the arc bois would zoom around killing minotaurs when dmg started solar would well and div would give the other 2 easy crits to just rag on him. it went really smoothly and we had like 2+ minutes to spare.

I had been away for the summer and had no clue about any of this stuff. I was doing the deep dive as part of the quest and the randoms got me into the tormentor fight. It was insanely difficult and we ended up losing since i had no idea what was happening. Ill try to get the scout eventually but its really difficult

Im honestly kind of surprised that it took to try number 5 to think of switching to precision weapons after seeing the boss is a tormentor, an enemy type that massively reduces any damage that isn't on their weak point.

mfw using an arc titan that gets suppressed 50% of the time and a hc plinker 120 in a "difficult" activity for the loles. Almost all of this pain was self-inflicted, likely for the content and just to make it interesting. I refuse to believe they genuinely wanted to run these setups after 7 goes.

Small Tips for average and dad Gamers : - Double Special (f.e Izanagi + Shotgun)+ precision heavy weapon (machine guns or linear) -Maybe one Person on Divinity -Warlock Well for teamshot DPS or Arc for sustain Dmg - Strand Warlock with Osteo also works and does alot of solo dps -Hunters Play ahamkaras solar or Gryfalcon void - Strand Hunter If you are a god with your super hitting crits. -Titan actually solar bonk or stasis Spam Hope this helps maybe.

Did I just get incredably lucky with teammates? Because I did this first try with some randoms from LFG, and we had a few minutes to spare. I guess maybe it was just that at least I was using an LMG, which really is the META for this mission. We struggled more on the deep dive than the actual mission TBH.

Hearing how much people are having trouble with this, I'm glad the only seriously difficult part I experienced wad getting randoms to actually do the thing. Now that I have the thing, I cant even do deep dives normally now because it's a 9/10 chance the randoms are going for the tormentor We only had a minute left at the end, but if you can one do enough dps, a one phase is easily possible.

Btw ammo finders dont increase your drop chance for ammo. Instead they give you the ability to fill up an invisible meter with kills. When the meter fills you get an ammo drop. ONLY weapon kills give you progress. Special weapons give around 1%, exotic primaries give the most at like 4%. Depending on how many finders you have the ammo brick gives you 33%/66%/100% of a normal heavy drop. So ammo finders are only useful if you run exotic primaries and are in encounters with tons of enemies.

I dont know if you have been told or saw it when you were in the room. But there is a node you can shot above the dark lady statue at the end and you get more Xivu dialog and a chunk of xp. And if you do go back in, try divinity and lmg. Makes it a bit easier.

You know what I like about this activity? It teaches people to not use damage supers or explosives on tormentors. For the longest time I've known none crit weapons dealt 90% less against tormentor's and everyone seems to use them despite the fact it takes like 3 rockets to deal 1 sniper worth of damage.

I did this with lfg and it was so easy. Got it first try. All you had to do is have one tractor and two thunderlords and its not like we had a well either.

My experience with this mission was having a clanmate join my call, told me "bring a div and a retrofit" after telling him I didn't have the retro he just said "then bring a well" After that we first tried the mission with our third contributing very little Div really does make all the difference since it makes his crit spot easy to hit from all angles, though you guys seemed to struggle to survive the maze fight

Div + LFR's is the way to go. and when you run out of LFR ammo, slug shotties!

What worked best for us was placing a well but not have everyone inside it, instead let only the person with the aggro in it and the rest move out of the well, that way the suppression and slams aren't that big of a deal and the boss isn't as erratic, if someone else gets aggro then that person rotates into the well and the other moves outside. Also Div + Linears/Machineguns 100% mandatory lol.
