Why is the wife trying to console one of the mistresses? The wife should be causing all types of problems not covering up her husband infidelity’s, money or no money,all of that crap that he was talking about the home is happy and peaceful,that doesn’t stop a man from doing adulterous things outside of the home 🤨🙄

If my memory of this show is accurate - she didn't cover for him...not consciously anyway. She still.loved him like when they first met. They were loving, happy, and pleased when together - were hand holders. So, even if she was selectively seeing him in the eyes of love - she believed they were very happy with each other and her husband wasn't that kind of man. And, whether he was sincere with her or not - he was definitely convincing. But, he did need her...🤔...like a sorta 'beard' I guess - a reason to give his mistresses as to why they can only be lovers, and she shows well for work and social functions. Now, the one she "consoled" told her about her husband - not to anger her into divorce, but for her to make him leave her alone. She wanted no part of him or his riches.The wife didn't believe her. When she found out it was true she was sorry for wronging the girl. The consoling was actually apologizing. So, whether she abetted his lechery or not, she will suffer the consequences of a forever guilty conscious because she was told so [in her mind] indirectly helped ruin that girl.
