JR could take some notes from TWC on the lace front. I had a 24BT18 and sent it back immediately due to the plug look, so I only go with 14/26 since it's lighter. Even still, I have had to remove darker hair in that color and sew in lighter hair from an older piece of the same color, because the lace front has small sections of dark plugs and it looks bad. This piece you are showing is really good, especially given the dark color! Thanks for showing us another piece from the Statements line. I hope they come out with more mono/lace front pieces! And I made Courtney by JR which is quite long to a short bob length because it hand tied and it was so much cheaper than Cameron (before Kristi was premiered). I figured if I usually trim an inch off shorter pieces, who says you can't trim 6 inches off a long piece :) Go for it!

@@heywigsister Sadly, it is the color that I feel most comfortable in, so I am stuck with it for now. I am very close to trying EW Turn or Girl Mono, if I can get up the courage to try Caramel Rooted.

Lol, THANK YOU SO MUCH! I am definitely going to keep her to at least do a video on cutting a wig that it too long. 2021 is all about learning how to make wigs my own, and of course I will have to share all of that with my sisters.... I may need to use one of my super cheap Amazon wigs to practice first, though..... but then I would love to trim about 4 inches off her. Still long enough for a ponytail, braids, or other updos.

Thanks Denise :-) One budget line which I really liked was the Bobbi Boss Escara line - lower density which was good for the hot weather. I don't know if it is still going though. Really looking forward to your upcoming tutorials :-) So many wig companies, PY and TWC included, have very few styles which just touch the shoulders so I really need to learn how to shorten and add layers. One tutorial, which is probably beyond your remit at this time, is to learn how to ventilate just a narrow lace front to attach to a wig grip (like the Milano) but using a few strands from a synthetic wig. Imagine being able to "add a lace front" to a plain cap wig - wheeeeeeee :-D

I just took Laine by ROP to my stylist. For the cost of a child haircut, she styled it! Laine is now an angled Lob! I did the ponytail cut and then point cut the ends. She just needed to be shaped a bit more beyond my skill set. My stylist had as much fun as I did. Girls don't be afraid... and have a good stylist in the wings!

The one issue I have with this line is that they don't have a lot of color options.... which wig would you be considering? There are different colors offered with different wigs so first you need to decide which wigs and then we could look at the available colors... I also know that their customer service is really good and you can always ask them as well (in case it is a wig where I haven't seen some of the colors).

I bought my first wig recently and l was surprised to discover that if l tried to put it behind my ears, it pushed my ears forward and out. It was just way too much. I was so disappointed. Couldn't wear it. Is this common?

This can happen, and it depends on a few things. #1- if the wig is high density and has a lot of hair OR permatease near the ear tabs, that can happen. #2- if the wig is big on you and the ear tabs are VERY close to your ears, that can add extra bulk in that area. #3- if you are using a wig grip that can add extra bulk in that area, so make sure to push it up some so you have more clearance. Some wigs tuck seamlessly and don't do that... look for ones with lower density, no permatease in that area, and make sure the ear tabs aren't super low and pretty much touching your ears and then tucking will be a breeze. Unfortunately, there is a lot of trial and error with this.

Gosh, THANK YOU!!! To be honest, my husband DOES NOT like long wigs on me, and he doesn't like straight ones either.... he just refrains from commenting but I know he doesn't prefer it. That's OK, I sometimes wear wigs for him, and sometimes for me.... it all works out!
