You can actually hear the development through Rozes voice. In the beginning, she has stiffness and pauses, like programmed speech. She has no clue what social cues are and how to feel emotion. As the story progresses, her voice is more fluid. You can hear her concern, doubt, hesitation, sadness, the love she has for the animals. Lupita Nyong'o did an incredible job voicing her.

I thought that when Pinktail seemed unfazed by the possible death of one of her children was because A. It’s part of living the the unpredictable harshness of the wild to be kind of used to those risks, and B. As a possum, she assumed at first her child might have been playing dead, and wasn’t going to jump to conclusions. She just said she was down one child in that chilled way to (comically) show her frazzled yet collected way as a busy mother possum.

Hey WickedBinge, I kind of think the concept of the Wild Robot makes me wonder. What happened to Humans in the movie? Did they move to another planet, or did they all go extinct? It kind of makes me think it is kind of creepy in it's own right since well we never know what happened to the humans as a species as a movie. Still I think the Wild Robot is the best character of the entire movie. I also hope you don't forget to do Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Like it has been out for a while, so I hope you don't ignore it for too long that you just don't decide to do it at all. when I did watch this Movie in the Movie Theater, I didn't know that Vontra was the Mane Villain of the Movie. I know she only shows up in the 3rd Act of the Film. I think she was an OK Villain. she was just doing her job of trying to get Roz to come back and stealing her Memories of the Forest. I think the way she was Defeated was funny because Roz used the Magnet Crushing Machine on her and she's in Pieces. I kind of hope that she doesn't come back because there's no way if she could survive her ship crashing down and exploding, or at least another copy of her. that's why I think Vontra is a OK Villain for Roz to face off against. I put her in the C Tier.

I read this book when I was younger so I can speak about this & I think that this a a truly brilliant adaption although it’s not perfect to the book at least it wasn’t changed to something completely unrecognizable like Artemis Fowl. I truly think that as long as the movie adaption has the same emotions & feel to the book no matter how or what the characters do. It’s a successful adaption because nothing can be perfect. (Although, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, came pretty close)

When I was younger, I read the book. I went to see the movie and was rather disappointed. It took some major deviations from the book and added completely unnecessary things. They took out whole characters, just to make a ‘lovable but bad person because of sad backstory’ side character. They also dumbed down most of the characters for no reason. I wasn’t expecting it to be perfect, but it was still sad to see one of my favorite childhood books turned into a movie by people who probably have only read a ChatGPT summary of the book.

Isn’t How to Train your Dragon also different from the book but it was still a bloody good movie franchise? And also Hercules, it may be one of my favorite movies, but it is a completely different story than the one told in Greek mythology. What I’m saying is that you shouldn’t judge a movie adaptation based off of how inaccurate it is from the book. You are missing out on a lot of good things if you only criticize it based off of one thing.

@@YoelSchwarz I think it’s a matter of how they got through the plot and how they handled things like characters. They don’t even mention the garden, despite it being an important point of progression towards Roz being trusted. A lot of things were just skipped altogether that, even though I’m not an animator, I feel could have been done if they cut out the pointless characters like Pinktail’s children. Then there are the 4+ characters that are completely cut from the movie, just so that Fink can be important, despite him being a very very small role in the book. That’s only the first half of the movie. And I get that it’s a movie, and it won’t be completely accurate to the book, but almost everything was changed. There’s a lot more, but this comment is too long already so I’ll leave it at that for now.

@@UltimateDespairado Like I said in another response, I think it’s really the way they handle the plot and characters. TL;DR, they cut out 4+ important characters (more important than Fink) to have Fink be important and have a sad backstory, and to have comic relief characters like Pinktail’s children. They also diminished the intelligence of almost everyone, and added way too many unnecessary characters. I can think of at least three shots that would’ve been easier to animate than their movie counterparts. I know it’s a movie and it’s never accurate to the book, but most of the plot is either changed or completely skipped, which to me makes it feel jumpy.
