Always nice to see how much track owners care about the safety of their drivers and fans... By continuing to use damaged armco barriers that don't keep cars within the track and can slice a driver in half if hit wrong, especially when it has been hit multiple times previously. Why drivers run at facilities where the owners obviously don't invest in safety is beyond me.
@matthewvarnam43022 жыл бұрын
Some tracks don't have the money to do all them things right now if they had the money I'm sure they would fix the problem.. and anyways it's the driver's choice to race his car on that track they know what there getting into before they even race.
@keithlarge11512 жыл бұрын
@@matthewvarnam4302 you're exactly right ..our dragstrip was shutdown because the owner lost his IHRA sanction over the Armco barrier which had been in place since the tracks opening in 1964. It was originally an NHRA track till the early 80's then an IHRA track till the mid 2000's and had hosted divisional events till then. But now both sanctioning bodies claim you have to have concrete barriers till at least the finish line for insurance purposes to get sanctioned.
