absolutely agree! this era was peak for mario! 3d world + bowser’s fury is especially one of my favourite games ever! it’s so damn replayable! not to mention the return to mario party’s roots with superstars, odyssey brining back the mario 64 gameplay that was so beloved, being able to play the retro classics with the NSO virtual console, super mario bros wonder giving back the creativity we loved so much about mario 3 and world’s 2D design and of course the ultimate rehabilitation of the mario RPG games!

I forget what the exact price was. It was either $25 or $30. It wasn't much more expensive than the first game and I never played the first game so I figured I might as well get Sparks of Hope

@@StrawHatMidas which country do you live in? I live in Sweden and the stores here are still selling 3d all stars. The only three 3d mario games that are not available on the switch are 64 ds, galaxy 2 and 3d land. I have all three of those games on their original consoles. I have 100%ed both galaxy games and gotten 149/150 stars in 64 ds since i didnt want to catch all annoying bunnies for the final empty room star there. I have beaten every 3d land stage except s8-crown since i didnt want to beat every stage with both brothers to unlock it. I have tried champions road but failed. I beat long journeys end one time after getting 500 moons in Odyssey and didnt collect its last 400 moons and therefore never unlocked the final secret bowser fight. I ended bowsers fury after getting 50/100 cat shines and beating final bowser. The original version of mario 64 is the only 3d mario game where ive never gotten to the final bowser fight since Mario is so hard to control in that game and i didnt like it as much as the ds version when i tried playing it in 3d all stars. Ive only gotten sunshines 49/120 mandatory shines and beaten Bowser in corona mountain before ending that game. The extra game in Sunshine is too difficult for me and not fun at all. Out of the ports original consoles, nintendo 64 and gamecube are the only two consoles i never owned so i neither got the chance to play Mario 64 or Sunshine on its original consoles while i had a wii and wii u and played Galaxy and 3d world on their original consoles. I have tried Champions road but never completed it. So the galaxy games are the only ones ive 100%ed

Mario on switch has been really good, the biggest problem i have with mario on switch is that 3d all stars isnt available now. I want to play galaxy on switch but i aint paying 120 bucks for it. Nintendo could have doubled the sales of this game too if they kept it on the market. Even though it was a timed release it sold almost 10 million copies. Thats crazy. Also mario vs dk wasnt 60 bucks, just wanted to point that out.

Im suprised by your take on Sparks Of Hope not being much different from the first game. Developer interviews say they were quite ambitious with it, and i agree. A new movement system in combat that adds more depth, way more party customization, more rpg elements, more open areas to explore, more voice acting, and more originality with it's story, worlds, and characters. Heck, it now has RAYMAN in it

15:43 I'm actually very disappointed super Mario 35 was such a limited release. I mean isn't Tetris 99 still around? I don't recall if Pac-Man 99 is still around I think it lasted longer than super Mario 35. As far as I know if 099 is still around and while it is the newest it technically has been around longer than super Mario 35 was. What was really stopping them from having that game last until the end of the switch? I'm sure if they didn't want to just keep the servers running for free without having to actually charge people a lot of people would have been willing to actually start paying to use it like actually buying the game instead of only paying through having the basic online and above. In fact an acquaintance of mine who I met right here on KZbin as it turns out we both have KZbin channels that have had their successes and failures and even did a couple of collabs together as we met in person before too, but anyways because he was somehow not aware of the limited release of super Mario 35, he didn't realize the game was gone until after I told him on one of his twitch streams and he literally never got to play the game once.

These games are mini games collections, so they won't sell without the big brands Mario & Sonic. 19:51 I did enjoy playing Mario Strikers Battle League when it first came out but honestly I got really annoyed with that game. The career mode is lacking in comparison to Mario Strikers Charged on the Wii which came out 15 years earlier and the stupidest thing ever was that when playing Mario Strikers Battle League online they didn't even count your record when you play online. I like knowing my wins and losses without having to type it down myself. I remember typing down that I had nine wins and five losses. The fact of the matter is Dayton add record keeping for online play until like 2 months after the game came out and I was thinking of playing the game again but I kid you not I actually have not played the game since a little after they added Pauline and was it did he who were the last two characters they added at the time. I know they added Daisy and I think it was berto or somebody else before then maybe it was shy guy oh shy guy that's right, but that is just extreme slacker to just not include counting your wins and losses when you play online. That should have been there right from the start. There was no reason for that not to be included

Woah! You seriously said that the switch is the longest running Nintendo console ever made? The original game boy lasted from 1989 all the way to some point in the early 2000s if you count the game boy color. The NES if you count the famicom from 1983 lasted really long because the last NES game came out officially in 1974 and there was an unofficial one in 1995. Not to mention the 3DS pretty much lasted from 2011 all the way to 2019. Anyways another thing that is great about Mario on the switch is that you can play so many of the older games for a cheap yearly price with either package of the switch online

I personally don't feel like switch Mario is the best, just because there was a lot of remakes and re releases. That's not to say it's bad but I'd definitely put the Wii and DS above it in my opinion. Still a great console for Mario games! I would probably feel more strongly about it if I grew up with a Switch instead of the older consoles.

I love Scott! But that is not who I was inspired by honestly. The format has been around for years with JonTron and PBG. Having comedy along with videogames has been around for over a decade :D
