WOW!!! You are the real life Higsby, my friend!!! I am also a Battle Chip lover. They look so cool and are so fun to collect! My favorites PETs list: Most nostalgic: Plug-In Best look: Advanced PET 2 Most fun: Progress PET Best balance: Advanced PET I wonder if Capcom will ever release a whole new PET with better graphics and more complex gameplay. Ther are SO many possibilities!!! As I saw Pokemón GO, I immediatly thought that such system would fit perfectly to the Battle Network. We would be able to search for viruses all around the world, earn battle chips and Navi upgrades, play with friends and participate of tournaments. Mega Man = Genuine Happiness

Those "DLC" characters you mentioned for the Link PET are actually for use in "Rockman.EXE Battle Chip Stadium", which included Bass, Dark Megaman, Dark Protoman, Dark Colonel, and Beast Out Forte (i.e. Bass BX) as new exclusive playable characters in later revisions of the arcade cabinet. Elements of the game were also later adapted into the NT Warrior manga as part of the bonus chapter of the original run's final tankōban volume, like the Boscono Panic Express PA.

Can't wait to share our documentary on the experience! : ) I'm familiar with BugRiser but didn't know it was also featured in BCS as its story as I don't think I've seen it in any of the cutscenes we've datamined? Yeah, I thought it was there but after double checking the Mega Man Knowledge Base and Rockman EXE Zone wikis, I found that to not be the case.

We were very fortunate to datamine the Version 3 of BCS as the earlier versions of the arcade aren't compatible with some of the navi data characters. Exciting time to be a BN fan!

Bandai needs to revamp this toyline like they did with the Digimon Toyline with higher def colored sprites for the LCD screens and for the Battle Network 2 PET to have a decent toy.

One thing that I found very interesting about the chips is there's nothing on the chip it's literally shorting out XYZ pin to trigger different power-ups. So you can literally take a couple paper clips or even just one and short out every single pin on the reader and then I'll give you one of the best cards in the game

The advanced PET is my favorite. i remember seeing it alot in axess when i was little and i had the bass one, but i lost it

I always wanted something like this and never knew it existed. I remember playing with those little music chips and players cause it was the closest thing to a pet and chips I could get.

I know how you feel, as a teen I always looked to Japan for the coolest trinkets we never got in the States : ( Fastforward to today and I have TOO many collectibles hahaha! Being an adult is rough on the wallet but great for freedom x )

@@scoutmasterdemi I've done a little bit of looking into the gates, are they able to be taken apart and customized without breaking it. I can't find pictures that show anything like screws to open up the plastic housing.

@@scoutmasterdemi honestly I'd love to see some content involving the Beast Link Gate or just videos showing off how the different peripherals interact with the games (and possibly even with the arcade if/when it gets to the point where that is possible) as well as possibly showing off how the Japanese PETs function in general would be really cool to see! It seems you've built up quite the collection so even just getting to see more of the chips you have gathered would be fantastic!

Never had a chance to get one of these back in the day. Recently got back into battle network, looking to get my first one. Here for advice on which is best for a budget these days.

The least expensive chips are the BN6-style Link chips, though the blue BN4-style Advance chips aren't too bad either if you're ok with not gunning for the rarest of the rare stuff. This is actually a great topic for a video! I plan on doing deep dives on each of the battle chip types so this can be added to the docket! Shameless plug -- I myself am selling most of my collection to help fund better KZbin gear & editing! My Discord DMs are always open :' )

@@jamielishbrook2384 If it's open box I'd recommend the BN4 or BN5 PETs. The BN6 one is quite expensive even out of box. I sell my BN4 and BN5 ones for about $60
