Wow that was on my mind too. I expressed to new lights how 12 man activities were like taking a ticket in line waiting for a chance to kill enemies. You didn't know what was your kill count. Man if this wasn't fixed before the first GM, SABER, we could have stories about how entire teams wiped from it. The instadeath electric traps

The first time I got killed was Friday morning and I was like of course I find the one lobby at 9am with a cheater. By 10am I was locked in with an Ammit of my own.

I also liked that when you had a shotgun-heavy GL hybrid and shot at your feet, you would start the Destiny 2 Space Program and launch straight through the stratosphere

If i learned anything, bungie needs to make some crazy modifiers for activities. Melting enemies solo in GMs was fun, but there was also a risk of getting melted yourself. I've never done a GM because needing 5 mags to kill one red bar never seemed fun to me. But this felt balanced in a way. I didn't end up finishing it, but what i did try was still challenging.

I also think something to consider is bungie giving us some OP weapons in PVE from time to time to just have fun with it. I had the most fun this weekend that I have ever had in the game. Yes it broke the game a bit, but part of the fun of it was seeing what the AI would do when confronted with “the funny guns.” I want to have the amount of fun I had this weekend not just be a one off thing but for bungie to find a way to let us have that amount of fun without it breaking EVERYTHING as well.

The most fun weekend I've had for awhile. I was originally bummed out since I didn't earn an igneous before and wanted to get one really bad but everyone of course were using the glitched weapons. In the end I just embraced it (shoutout to shotgun austringer) and ended up getting flalwless and an adept igneous hammer lol. People shouldn't take games so seriously and loosen up a little sometimes.

Idgaf if people are mad about the glitch. I have arthritis, my hand eye coordination is garbage, and I was finally able to do a legendary lost sector and got a Crota kill. I didn’t PvP though so I guess it didn’t affect anyone

My biggest regret was not having the time to do more this weekend. It was awesome, and honestly? Would be kinda cool for Bungie to purposefully do some kind of powerhouse weekend where you're just ridiculously strong. I know sanctity of solos and all that, but it's a cool opportunity for people who just aren't as good to do some things they might not normally be able to, and us average and better can just cut loose.

I think its telling that for a lot of players, myself included, this weekend was the most fun it has been in a long time. This community takes things way to seriously in a game where we are essentially space liches shooting aliens, and we need more moments in the game like this where we just explore the fun opportunities that can happen. Im still waoting for Bungie to make a Mayhem week where they let you equip max Exotics and jlhave abilities supercharged to constantly refill.

@@Truly.Quincho Literally only played PvP besides one Crota run at some point and this is the most fun I've had in destiny in years and the most I've played in a weekend in years as well. Literally haven't picked up destiny in months and prob won't again till the next DLC but this glitch had me on and having a blast. Copped an adept igneous and went wild in quickplay I felt like I was 15 again

I only have the Ammit AR2 with aggressive frame and it works for me. I havent played enough to unlock hardly anything else to try any different combos. Still pretty fun though.

I crafted a Taipan with a rapid fire shotgun frame during this time. Not only did it inherit the shotgun pellets, but it also charged SIGNIFICANTLY faster after the first shot.

The theory crafting this bug provided is what weapon crafting should have provided from the beginning. Just imagine once a season everyone got a free material that let them turn once crafted weapon into a fully craftable weapon. You can pull perks from other weapons in the same class. Obviously you couldn’t get things like Incandescent on a Strand weapon, but what is the harm of letting me take One For All from Sweet Sorrow and putting it on my Rufus’s Fury? The main problem with crafting is that they hardly feel like “your weapon” because everyone uses the exact same rolls makes it feel like any other weapon.

They broke the Ammit that I normally use. Incandescent won't work. The perk is there when you inspect the weapon but it doesn't appear when hovering over it.

This was a total blast. I totally get why people are mad, my friend who worked for two months to get her solo nezarec kill was pissed about the bug making her hard work seem worthless, but at the end of the day, it’s impossible to build a game with no bugs, especially when the game is literally 7 years old. I enjoyed it because it drastically changed the way we play the game, and that was enough for me to enjoy the game in a whole new way.

This is the first Destiny glitch that I have ever participated in. It allowed me to finally get Wishender. I also had fun playing around with these broken weapons in a bunch of PvE activities. Bungie was smart to let us have our fun for 1 weekend.

You didn't mention the most powerful aspect. Mulligan combined with the aggressive shotgun frame meant each shot mostly missed and refunded almost all bullets used This completely invalidated ammo and meant anything could be made into full auto with no ammo economy or reloading A mulligan target lock retrofit escapade would shred entire gm rooms in seconds

I slipped into the Relic last night, just in time to get the banner saying "yeah we're disabling frames and perks", but BEFORE the servers got shut off.... Managed to craft a Come to Pass with Aggressive, so I'm curious to see if I'll get an emblem, if they release one...

I had been struggling to do Spire of the Watcher solo flawless. It was my last flawless of the dungeons. Turns out all I needed was a heavy grenade launcher that fired like a shotgun.

this reminded me that ive still never gotten the laser tag emblem. i played the game constantly during that whole fiasco, melting everyone in crucible(vice versa) and everyone got to rock the cool emblem but me :(

This is the most fun I had since the 12 man raids, glitches that break the mold are just so fun to me. They extended it throughout the weekend because lets be fair, this is a REALLY hard thing to fix. I wouldn't be able to tell you how they should do it without individually going into 20 million players' accounts and checking those weapons which is not realistic. But anyways, had extreme amounts of fun with something you haven't showed of! We put a aggressive shotgun frame on the Tarnation heavy GL and THEN put mulligan on it from the Plack machine gun which made the weapon have infinite ammo as long as one of the 10 grenades missed. Farmed about a 100 Ascendant Shards and masterworked some exotics and we were like "What is the most ridicilous thing we could do?" and VoG was rotator so we did VoG with almost all the challenges, we didnt wanna waste time with the ridicilous oracle challenge because we didn't know how soon the glitch was gonna be fixed. Also... Double Enhanced Eager Edge. This is the most fun thing I have ever experienced, I was so joyous when I got it both on the same sword it was magnificent. Spent like 4 hours just skating around all the different planets breaking the sound barrier. They HAVE to have an exotic or something to combine the swords and their crafted perks. It would be awesome and we would enter a new age of speedrunning.

The glitched ammit was fun in trials for the first few games and a run of a gm. But, I do see where people are coming from. At the same time, this was better then Trials of the Nine laser tag weekend.

What was really wild was the fact that aside this bug was occuring... Another bug was happening where PS4 and PS5 players can play Destiny 2 without PS+, it was genuine fun to be able to not be limited to a Free-To-Try model and actually enjoy the game like how PS3 players can enjoy Destiny. The sad thing is as of today's fix not only struck the crafting glitch, but they fixed the all activities that allowed normal PS4 and PS5 players to require PS+ again. I was really gonna stick around because of the bug, but the bug fix just pushes away players that sought this Free to Play model.

They should really make a gamemode for this glitch. Perhaps a team fiesta type gamemode that once your team scores x amount of points you all upgrade to next tier (so that you can have the fun with each combo individually longer)

Some people think the prestige of solo flawless dungeon/ trial flawless emblem will be tarnished by this bug because they think that emblem makes them better at the game than those that do not have them. Therefore for a not skilled player to also have the emblem is somehow an insult to their achievements. I think it is a strange mindset considering you can buy both of them with money through recovery services. And for those that claim that they get theirs legit, how many of them actually played themselves? My point is those emblems are in fact worthless to others. But they are invaluable to the players themselves, because they are memorials for the time you spent on getting certain things in game. Unlike the world’s fist belt, it is not a prove of skill or authority at the game you play. When I look at my day-1 emblems I think of the time when I play for 20 hours nonstop with my friends, some of whom already quitted the game. I can even vividly remember some of the clutch moments and the joy and the happiness when we beat the raid. And some of the most torturous encounters like Atrax-1, caretaker, warpriest challenge mode. These are the things those emblems are for. Not some cheap and strange sense of superiority over those who do not have the emblems.

I will forever remember this weekend as the weekend I had to turn off my home wifi, connect my Series X to my phone hotspot, run a game download and lag my internet with a KZbin video on that phone all for a couple crafted guns that I would then use to solo flawless all the dungeons in the game back to back 😂 thanks Bungie I was starting to get slightly bored of this season and now you’ve brought me back.

I'm so glad I could play this weekend. Getting the timing down for the glitch was a pain but the fun I had was out of this world. We did a master VoG in 2 hours with every challenge done. Encounters would break while doing them. Literal mechanics would no longer work and just give us the clear.

It was a wild weekend thats for sure. I wasnt able to do the glitch but it certainly made a certain public event on neomuna much easier to deal with. I should have hopped into a dungeon or raid with someone who did enjoy the glitch haha.

It was the first time in Destiny 2 that I felt like a true powerful god killing guardian! Getting payback on all those bullet sponge bosses 😊
