The stuff at the end about creating subcultures for men to take refuge in really caught my attention. I've been in or on the edge of alternative subcultures (primarily emo and punk) since before I knew I was trans, and I always found the type of masculinity presented by queer men in those spaces to be both subversive and admirable. Emo ND goth subcultures often celebrate displays of emotions other than rage. I wonder if the leads of bands like my chemical romance do, weirdly, present another model of masculinity. Really interestin as always!!

Her critic of the Harry Potter story is so far off it’s not even funny. None of the concepts she suggested are in the books or movies. She never read them.
