Loved that man. 😢 You can't help but admire these incredible actors. My adult life so touched and inspired by them all at all different times throughout my life. The GREAT ones last forever in your memories and souls. Hard to explain, but I am sure you all know what I mean. Thank you for paying him tribute.

William Hurt wasn’t only known for his range, but for his intelectual and misunderstood personality. He went from leading actor and Oscar winner in the 80s to an exiled performer to a legend and highly reliable character actor. We will never see anyone like him ever.

Younger people met not know but Hurt was a great actor and a legit Oscar winning A lister. So many great movies. He went from the romantic lead in the 80s/90s to more of a character actor in the 2000s and on but he still did some great stuff later in his career.

In my opinion, William Hurt was way over rated. He made a few trendy movies in the 1980’s that haven’t aged particularly well and are now largely forgotten. His Oscar performance was about a gay man in prison trying to get laid. How hard is that? Of course the critics love that kind of stuff but no one saw it. He didn’t have classic leading man good looks and was more suited as a character actor. He didn’t age particularly well and in the end was left doing movies like “Lost in Space.”
