Absolutely. I had been feeling that since the thilivern islands Adam has been departing from baraduns character and I was really glad to see that happen. He had baradun doing a lot of embarrassing and stupid stuff that jeopardized success a lot. Baradun isnt stupid and does want to succeed so he can get back to his comfy spot at the top of the order. He is selfish and arrogant but not an idiot. Bodger is the dumbass not baradun. But the dimension door, showing off his cool magic powers, and making fun of them for not having his powers does feel very on brand. It's smart and clever in a work harder not smarter way. And it allows him to show off too.

Hi, a Russian VLDL fan here. I appreciate the russian inspired name for a fire giant clan. For those of you curious, "Kuznesh" comes from the word "Кузнец", which litterally means "Blacksmith" in russian. (Technically, it should be "Kuznets" as in - the russian letter "ц" is pronounced like "ts" - but whatever). It's cool!

It's wonderful to see how much effort Rob puts in these references to other languages. I'm Dutch and the cloud giant's castle was called "Waarzeggrie castle". The Dutch word "Waarzegger" means fortune teller And "Verdorrin", in Dutch we say "verdorren" which literally means "to wither"

Love that the boys and girls campaigns intertwine immediately via Stephanie and necromancy. Adds more depth to the world and gives a glimpse of what's going on elsewhere. With the boys campaign going on for so long I have to force myself to thinking that it's only been six months and that the two parties are happening simultaneously in game time.

It might be easier to canonically make Bodger have like short term memory loss. Maybe he bonked his head with his hammer a few too many times while blacksmithing. The only true memory he can hold is that his grandfather’s hammer is RIGHTFULLY his, and that is why he clings so hard to the memory.

To be fair, Bodger doesn't know what "love of my life" means. They aren't in a committed relationship, they only had a fling. conically Stephanie has slept with Liam, Baradun, Bob, flirted with others and is currently interested in Horatio. Bodger has slept with Sandra twice, has been with goliaths at brothels, and has hit on master Padric among others I can't remember.

It's pretty clear that Rob repeated his dream sequence from ages ago to keep him engaged with the campaign because it stopped being about him.

I like how Rob has incorporated Stephanie and most likely other characters in the world that he used/uses in other campaigns as well, like the one of the daughters of the big 5 families in the elven island. In my dnd session campaign our dm uses old characters from a previous campaign as well when applicable. It gives the world a living feeling, which makes it all the more enjoyable!

We got honeywood (named Dingledorf😂) Greg, bodger and baelin, just with our own twist, Greg is much more aggressive and dumb, bodger was renamed “will smith” and he only talks on Gaelic, Baelin (now named: Fisherman Dofus) now only says “Fisk for deg (translation: fish for you)” and he is a serial killer😂. Rob did his research, Kuźniarz is the polish word for blacksmith/armorer (anyone working in a smithy), I suspect Rob used russian (because of the accent he gives them) or other slavic language for that but I got that reference and it is quite clever
