Damn, jds breakdown of bodies scene with mcnulty was perfect. Also, you’re right about the writing being so good that you fall in love with characters you started off hating. Watch good people do bad things. That’s the stuff that sets it apart from other tv. Thanks for stuff like this, I’ve felt like I’ve seen and heard everything wire related so thanks for keeping it fresh. You’re keeping the shoes alive.

I know I don’t comment much here sir, but I do appreciate your podcast. It’s great to see cast members starting to give you some of their time. And while I won’t mention names, you are more skilled at finding the right balance between being entertaining and being informative than other podcasters I’ve encountered, and for a podcast like this that’s no small accomplishment.

Gotta respect how much these guys understood their characters and the material they were given. Bodie spends a lot of time psyching himself up to do Wallace, like big Rich says they take him for chili dogs like it's his last meal and Bodie just taunting him. When Poot shoots though he looks sad af but also resolved like, 'he had to get got, and we in this together'. Poot even throws it back to Bodie after Lil'Kevin, 'Stringer thought Wallace had to get got'. And, not in a vindictive way, just pragmatically minded. In the end they both just disillusioned soldiers; 'men without a country'. Poot's arc is thanks to Bodie too, 'just go'. Otherwise he would have been lying down too, just out of loyalty for Bodie since Marlo probably didn't even know who he was. Not to oversimplify it but Poot always was sort of the pragmatic one, pussy-crazed or not, but for Bodie, with his team gone, and seeing all the rules he played by broken; I don't think he could live with that and that's the only reason he even consider snitching. We really see it built up how Bodie is in the game for life and I like how JD talks about he has a warrior code, where as Poot is just following orders, which is what soldiers do, but like Tray said all his people are gone by the end of S4. Great content //end of comment.

And dude the guy that plays Bodie... It's kind of almost unbelievable but he was a character on The sopranos he's with the Brandon Filone (spelling?) Crew under Christopher... At the very beginning they rob a truck or something and I think they like accidentally kill a guy but part of the crew is Bodie it's unbelievable I guess I didn't even realize it when I was watching sopranos because it's such a tiny character but once I saw the wire I was like wait a minute I've seen this dude before, but didn't know where. And then I can't remember what else, besides Oz I almost forgot about that he was not really hugely significant other than that one episode where the French dude goes nuts I don't want to give it away because it's such an insane episode -- that is such a great series that was ahead of its time it's even got JK Simmons before he got ultra famous... In a super super gritty roll anyway good video these dudes rule!

They don't live up to the characters quite as much but they're still too cool dudes in the show though I love these guys they are endlessly amusing -- I really really think they need to make a show it might be hard now like it's too far after the fact but they should have done a spin-off show, even if you had to call it a prequel people would not care that they got a little bit older it might be too late now but like 10 years ago they should have done a prequel with Bodie and poot where it showed them coming up and then aligning themselves with b&b as they were taking over the projects and stuff because bodie especially is not really the type of guy who is going to sit there and align himself with somebody of authority very easily. Probably the same thing with weebay I absolutely love the dudes acting in that show I would love to see him in the early years or even Avon or stringer but they were both such big actors even at the time Idris Elba at this point is literally like top 10 Hollywood, the dude is making like 10 and 15 million dollars a movie maybe even more I mean I'm sure there's some that are less but he's pretty much ballin -- he even got to smash Gemma Arterton in one of those movies and she's SMOKIN hot 🔥 -- anyway I love these guys they were two of my favorite characters in the show Even though early on it was one of the shadiest things I've ever seen on TV when they took out Wallace sorry for spoilers but if u ain't heard by now, and you're watching videos then it's your own fault
