Before the stand down against extremism in the military, I would say the military is primarily made up of very patriotic soldiers also those seeking financial employment (thugs), those that just do it for college benefits or nothing better in their lives. It is made up of a slice of the countries citizens, which means you get a mixture of good and bad. Now, I would say more liberals are in military service which is not good. In the end, everyone is there for a paycheck, whether police or military, though depending on scenario, some will side with family over anything and some will follow orders.

The Fort Bragg>Liberty Religious Support office is open from 9:30 - 3:00 ET. Their phone number is published and easily found. The person who answers will be a low ranking Soldier or civilian employee, so please be polite when you ask about the TERRORIST (!) designation that IMCOM (Installation Management Command) applied to America's best citizens. Ask what the Chaplains are doing to correct this terrible misjudgment! This is squarely in their wheelhouse. Source: I'm a former 56M Chaplain Assistant NCO for almost a decade.

Update///Local///Portage, WI - USANG Armory During a recent drive past the facility, a high amount of traffic was observed this week which is out of the ordinary for this location. It is a materials and logistics unit with machinery intended to transfer men and arms on the battlefield. Over the last week their yard has received several hundreds of tons of shipping containers (what's inside is unknown at this point) which are now lined up as if ready for opening and use. Portage is a small midwestern town with a population of 10,000+ bordered on the south by the Wisconsin River and on the west by Route 90/39, a major N/S interstate. The NG Armory is located next to the municipal airport with immediate access to the runways. The location is usually 'dormant' which makes this observation odd.

This is unfortunate but true. Freedom of speech no longer exists in this country. A person with an NRA sticker on their car is 7 times more likely to have their car vandalized than one that is not marked, and that by the average citizenry. The act of not stickering your car to prevent vandalism is in fact suppression of free speech.

Agreed, history does repeat itself as well. Famous book about Polish police that were following orders during WW2, if I am not mistaken. That would be the sentiment, though we hope not. As a veteran, I would say some or a percentage are a threat to citizenry as they don't know how to think for themselves on what is a lawful order or not. I had a similar conversation when I was in back in 2013, we talk about marshal law. We acknowledged that propaganda or false information could be used by leadership to convince soldiers to follow the orders. Many youtubers have asked people their thoughts on how a soldier would perceive orders, some saying 70/30, 60/40 or so on that would go with or against orders. Hard to tell now, though with the stand down done to root out extremism. Those numbers are harder to figure out. We would hope our military service members would not turn on citizens but have to be realists about it.

@@scavl14 I'm a veteran myself. I believe the book you are referring to is called "ordinary men". As far as following orders, that's literally what the NCO core is for. To ensure compliance with orders and to lead the way. In my experience most people, and soldiers are people, don't think too deeply about the instructions they are given. Between the Milgram experiment, the Bonus Army incident, the disarmament of citizens during Hurricane Katrina, and many other incidents in the last few years, I think it's highly naive to believe that the muscle of the system will concern themselves with words on a piece of paper. No matter how foundational some believe that paper to be.

I was an MP at Bragg back 90 to 94 , the only warning or training we got was on satanic cults at the time in the military but this type of training was happening then , especially when the army recognized soldiers religious rights and satanic rights. Recently I went to the VA in Tampa Florida and this happened to me 3 times in a month and a half. I wear Catholic Rosary 📿 as a necklace , the crucifix of Jesus is in Celtic Catholic Tradition. A clerk at check in at various clinics in the VA each time specifically ask if that was a Celtic cross? I told them it was a crucifix since Jesus is present, second I explained it was attached to a Rosary . I never addressed the Celtic part , because I knew they were leaning toward white S-premecy. This happened 3 times by clerk at different clinics . A VA employees told me they had received training on white S-premacy and what to look for , the employee told me that’s all he knew and he didn’t know if there was some record of this made. I am a disabled veteran , paratrooper, MP, the a career civillian law enforcement officer. I have never been arrested , not gotten into any trouble , I am trying to be a good catholic. But this is crazy to make me and 1,000,000 of other veterans , Christians, patriots , middle and poor persons as a threat , and just prior to this Joe B was giving a commencement speech at a university and he said “the greatest threat to the American Homeland is White S-premacy. Why are the training MP’swho are restricted from being used on American soil because of posse comitatus recieving training like this ? Why , they are going to be used against Americans in America . There is a garrison law enforcement unit at Ft Bragg a company which handles most law enforcement like investigations, traffic, dog catcher, SWAT,CID. Then there is a Military Working Dog unit. the 503rd MP BN Airborne, 16th Mp Brigade which use to be Airborne, 4 companies of combat MP’s,. A company of MP’s for the 82nd , and a Large CID office , this is a lot of MP’s getting scary training on protected practices. Not counting any DOD cops . I am disgusted with what has happened to this country . Scares me that our troops are being ing trained to attack ours and our rights. Remember what Joe B did on his presidential inauguration, he called in the army and locked down DC and limited who came to the inauguration. Writing on the wall for his puppet masters and their plans.

"..Constitutional rights don't just evaporate because a military units says so.." Let me tell you a story about a place called Ruby Ridge... I mean, you're not wrong... but ideas require actors to instantiate them in the real/tangible world. The constitution is a blueprint for a form of government that respects the people as the source of real political authority, which works because the people are unquestionably armed via the 2nd amendment. However, we know that the people are improbably docile creatures when they perceive that they have something to lose (see : 2020-2022) and don't know their rights much less how to defend/assert them. The battle of Athens, if it happened today, would have been a massacre.
