I don’t know what happened that day and why, and I don’t like for one minute losing any troops, but I also don’t trust our government. @@terrylee9091 A bump fire would do the job, which is when you pull the rifle opposite the trigger so that the recoil resets the trigger and the rifle immediately fires again. Those "bump-fire stocks" the media screamed about after Vegas basically used a spring to do the same thing. That maneuver is only useful when wielding a semi-auto rifle, since automatic already fulfills the purpose and with less loss of accuracy. It is possible to let off two rounds only in full-auto, though somewhat difficult to do and very dependent on the cyclic rate of fire of the weapon. There are also select-fire rifles which use 2-round burst instead of 3, and the AR-15 platform is so common that there are bound to be third-party companies which produce custom burst-fire sears for it.
