I think the Miasmal itself isn't that hard once you notice that just hitting it up close stun locks it for a few moves until it counters; it has absolutely zero poise. The hard part about this fight for me was fighting both of them back to back when you're level 5 and still only have the viper silver sword and the lvl 1 thunderbolt.

I remember trying to fight him at like level 5 for like 2 hours straight i actually almost beat the miasmal like twice, the 2nd time was the final straw a few days i returned and absolutely ran through it first try💀

Look for a place called Devil’s pit it’s near the hanged man’s tree in Velen.

On a NG+ with a full Griffin Set(will always offer set bonuses even if not GM) you can absolutely bully this boss on Death March.
