The Witcher 3 is the best game I've ever played. After playing The Witcher 3 for the first time back in 2020, the Witcher series became my obsession. I read all the books then played the Witcher 1 and 2, and I've been waiting eagerly to finally play The Witcher 3 again after the Next Gen update. And after completing the game a second time adding another hundred hours worth to my playtime, it has solidified The Witcher 3 as the best game I've ever played.

My sister passed away at the age of 18. The scene of Geralt finding Ciri on the isle of mists was so powerful that I couldn't stop crying when I first saw it. Now whenever I want to remind myself of what truly matters I play the music that plays during that scene "the wolf and the swallow". What a masterpiece of a game

My first time in Novigrad sealed my love for the game. Hearing Priscilla sing The Wolven Storm made me put my controller down and I thought I was experiencing something more than just a game. I couldn't get enough of the world of the Witcher, although very dark at times, it had it's moments of deep feelings and emotion. Skellige is by far my favorite place to just sit and wander through without worrying about the time past. I'm in my second play through since the update came out and I still can't get enough.

Oh man I absolutely love the scene where Geralt finds Ciri, there’s no expositions, we’re not just told how Geralt feels, we see it without even seeing his face, like his hesitation when stepping into that house, such a small detail that says so much within the context of Geralt’s character, and the music, great storytelling that we don’t get enough off these days.

@@akmalrusydi2730 Let's just hope they won't do what CDPR said they wanted to do with the remake of The Witcher 1 which is adjust it for "the modern audiences". Not only with gameplay but also with the story. @@dariusz.9119 sounds bonkers to be honest. The witcher franchise in its current state is perfect, it's unique from every other games i've played since its world is actually alive and interesting with lots of things to learn about like the politics, the discrimination of each species to each other in the witcher world, how and what roles do witchers play in a world lack or abundance of monsters (explained in the books and games), the wars between the north and south and so many charming character. The Witcher 3 for me is by far the most i have ever invested my time playing, watching content, reading and listening to the fireeee litt DLC albums on spotify. So far the Witcher 3 is the game that tops other narrative-based games let's say since RPG has a wide variety of category. And it was and still is the one and only game to make me shed tears in my second [playthrough since in the first game i played i didn't really understand the end-game but once i did my god was it not beautiful.

True. I'm planning my 8th playthrough in a month and while I still enjoyed my earlier playthroughs, I still had sometimes moments of tiredness associated with remembering very well each quest and cutscene. Truly phenomenal experience. My primary criticism is that they throw so many new swords and armor sets at you so quickly that the feeling of really working toward and earning new gear is lost. I wish there was a greater feeling of scarcity and value attached to each piece of gear. As it is, I stopped getting excited about finding a new sword because I knew that within 15 minutes the game would throw a newer better one at me and I’d switch. Also let’s hear more about Blood and Wine! I feel that DLC is the crown jewel of the whole game.

I really like how you mentioned that when you read the books, you picture Doug's voice. I started my delve into this universe with The Witcher 3, like many others. And then I went to the books and whenever a particular character is talking, I picture the voice from the game. While this is a minor thing, I think it elevates the books tenfold because there is some identity to the voices.

Really appreciate that you shouted out the NPCs. I think they’re legitimately my favorite part of this game after having played it for so long, there’s always random conversations you’ve never thought to listen to happening all around. There were some repeat voice actors and similar face models but they never stuck out to ruin immersion (except the “greetings!” traveling merchants lol). Great video! Would love to hear your thoughts on the DLC

The best things in The Witcher 3 aren't the individual storylines. What makes Witcher 3 special is the way the world is built. It feels alive 90% of the time, it doesn't feel empty, and the way all small and big questlines, hunting contracts, and scavenger hunts make the world to be immersive

I feel the same way, everything about this game is great, the world, all the characters, the detailed swords and armor, all the little quests and stories, the enemy design and of course Geralt himself, a great anti-hero with emotions killed off but a heart in the right place.

This is literally so relatable for me dude my obsession with the witcher started the exact same.way as yours i hadn't watched the show read any books or anything I started my first playthrough in 2020 too and I've gotta say this man is uttering nothing but facts. The witcher 3 is nothing less than shear perfection and i doubt any other game will ever be able to achieve this level of respect from not just me but basically from the entire gaming community itself.❤

As a child of the 80s and 90s (born in 1980), I am often both thrilled and terrified by the evolution of video games. I still fire up my childhood favorites like Double Dragon II on NES or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle arcade games, with the 8 and 16 bit eras often being the warmest defining points for what video games ought to be in my heart and mind. I also enjoy more recent games, though I have to really be sold on the premise to dive in. Modern games incorporate a level of complexity and storytelling that often feels like a barrier for entry to me. As such, I picked up Witcher 3 on release, dazzled by the advancement but ultimately scared away from actually playing it. With the recent next-gen updates, I decided to give it a toss. I just completed the main story (and all associated “side quests”), and just about closed out the DLC. In a few short months, The Witcher 3 has become my default game to fire up for fun. For comfort. For challenge. For story. It just might be my new favorite of all time. Will I eventually fire up Double Dragon II again? Don’t be silly-of course. But it’s not a competition. It’s a collaboration. The video game world is better for offerings like this, expanding the vibrancy and diversity of opportunity to explore, understand, and expand the human condition. Thank you for this beautiful love letter to a truly beloved game!

The immersion, the storytelling that completely sucks you in, the music, the atmosphere - TW3 game rivals any cinematic movie. You're invested in these characters so much more than any movie can give and it's personal. This game has the power to change you, mature you no matter what age you are when playing. It shows you the scope of humanity and that nothing is black and white, but all shades of grey, that making the decision is like choosing the lesser evil and never knowing what consequences will unfold in the future. I've never agonized so much over some decisions, making sure I've digested the storyline to understand the implications of each choice and then asking myself what would Geralt do? Truly a masterpiece of a game that will become a part of your personality and psyche. It's not just a game, it's a life experience.

On top of the choices are the secret choices that can happen organically if you happen on things before quest lines like the “secret” 3rd ending to the Bloody Baron questline if you happen across the haunted willow before the quest. This game is so rich and thought out that no game is gonna top it at least for a long time.

I can talk about this game for hours, scratch that for days... And have talked about it both on internet and in real life with friends... So I'm just gonna keep it short, This is a lightning in a bottle, a one time thing that I don't see ever getting repeated. This game was so magical for beginning to end. Every single aspect of the game is magical. I highly doubt we will ever have a game as good as this. Certainly there isn't one in the foreseeable future. Even if some games surpass it on some aspects (And some maybe already have). I don't think it will ever be a that combines all the elements of the Witcher 3. Lore, World, Design, Story, Ambience, Combat, Lentgth and Depth, Geralt, Music, the amount of stories and quests... And this is already becoming too long hahha. This is simply THE BEST GAME for me. I hope that I get to experience a game of this caliber at least once more in my lifetime. But I won't be sad if Witcher 3 stays the best game ever because I honestly cannot think of how can someone make a game better than this. PS: Cyberpunk 2077 honestly had the potential, but it needed a few more years in the oven. Such a shame that it has been rushed
