So exhausted of "woke" comments form people who haven't even read the books or played the games. There isn't a lick of the stories at all being woke.. Infact both in game and in the books is canon that being gay is frowned upon with being outcasted as a freaks. Ciri had swung both ways in the books and you can make a choice or appreciation of either sex in the game. Also the books NEVER said "women can't be witchers" its heavily based on assumptions because of there not being any recorded data of success. However Ciri did undergo the Trial of Chooses and women have been recorded to survive the trial of the medallion.

Henry Cavill was right when he said they should have stuck more to the lore and story lines of the books. I just hope they don't turn Witcher 4 into your typical slash and hack console RPG.

100%.... I think CD Projekt Red learnt a lot from Cyberpunk 2077 release and pass that over to this, in regards to optimization. They now have a fresh start with this new saga, so hopefully the story and DLC they bring out with each one, co-insides with the next. With some easter eggs, and lore from the first 3 games.

Other Witcher 3 endings must also be taken into account. Personally, I am not delighted that Ciri has become a mutant - the impression that she fell victim to Western ideas of vulgar feminism with ugly masculine womens. This is a very strong deviation from the canon. Due to the gene of older blood, Ciri is the only girl who is able to become a witcher without mutating. After developing her abilities, she seems to me much less strong and faster than the mutated witches of men, but with much stronger magical abilities, possibly capable, among other things, of imposing magic on herself, which makes her faster and more dexterous. Well, it should look like before. Maybe the ability to teleport in battle, being behind the backs of enemies, would also be worth adding Ciri. In addition, all witches undergo a mutation in childhood, so according to the canon, Ciri cannot become a mutant and should look something like before.

I don’t understand how she could have the cat eyes. Adults can’t survive the trials to become a Witcher, girls can’t either. Ciri is both. Uma was an adult elf and took half of one trial and had to be kept alive by the hardest magical feat of Yennefer’s life, who was herself one of the most accomplished sorceresses ever. That by itself tells me this game will have no respect for the Witcher lore, and by extension, no respect for the players

In Witcher lore the books never said "Women can't be witchers" instead it's been heavily assumed since it's been unsuccessful thus far. Women however can survive and participate in Trial of the Medallion and Ciri in the books did the Trial of Chooses. Also CDPR has already made it very clear the games aren't canon but a heavy adaption. They can do whatever with it... Lol

As for the story - all the DEI hires, it will be a woke disaster. Optimization - UE5 is easier to work with for inexperienced DEI hires, no way to properly optimize that (stalker2), so this game will be 16GB VRAM minimum. GG
