Luke (Jasen Fisher) successfully poisons the entire coven of visiting witches with their own transformation potion.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
In Nicolas Roeg's adaptation of Roald Dahl's novel The Witches, a young boy is vacationing at the seaside with his grandmother when he discovers that the hotel he is staying at is hosting a convention of witches. Eavesdropping on the witches, he learns that the Grand High Witch (Anjelica Huston) has devised a plan to turn all of the children in England into mice. ktn808 my stepdad had this movie playing when I was 10. I caught a glimpse of the transformation scene and was instantly traumatized. My mom told him to turn it off and he was like “cmon it’s just a movie” I felt so bad after that cause I thought I was easily scared by it. But it’s good to know all these years later that a lot of kids were traumatized by it.

Luke is the reason why the witches met their downfall. IF they had killed him they wouldn't have become mice, if they had killed him no one would know of their plan and they would have been able to carry them out. Mr bean (he is actually call Mr Stringer, not mr bean) killed her yes, But Luke is the reason why he is able to do that. If Luke was killed the witches wouldn't have met their end.

I love this movie !! I know Miss. Irvine who played the Grand High Witch assistant. She wasn't in the Witches book, but she's my favorite witch character in the movie. The reason why I like Miss. Irvine. Is because she was the only witch that wasn't afraid of the Grand High Witch. Furthermore, she was the only witch that had a heart and turned out to be good. Lastly, Miss. Irvine was the only one that turned back Luke and Bruno back to human form.

I saw this as a five year old and allways thought this movie was just a riddiculous dream. Im glad that I finally found the name of the movie and what really made me laugh so much from this movie is how the hotell staff with Mr Stringer gets in as exterminators and hunts for all the mice. Love especially how cruel he is when tossing the mice!
