Pop the ball a bit, not to far away, not too high, then do like a speedflip and just after the flip cancel (might be while canceling for the biggest pop, not sure) you should get a hit (If the ball was popped not too far / high)

Also when you stop delivering these amazing 1v1 climb videos do the fake challenge, where you try this strategy all game and see if the enemies notice, I think you could make it work because the mind games you can do with the godlike control of the ball, the strategy is doing 1 shot and 2 fakes, and then repeat. Mí guess is that you can fake somebody 5 goals before they ragequit.
