Yes, but the diploma, medal, and clock heart are just placebos. They're no match for the inner brains, courage, and heart the three have inside themselves. Besides, the Witch took the diploma, medal, and clock heart from Emerald City and locked them away, whilst sending the west wind after The Wizard.

Yes but it gave the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion the joy at the thought that they still had a brain, a heart and courage.
