The author of the series, Bill Willingham, has stated that the canonical playthrough (because the game is canon to the comics) is that Bigby is basically aggressive as possible and silent the rest of the time. Except, naturally for talking to Snow White.

In my own playthrough, I was as peaceful as possible. Also, you were right, Beauty and Toad's son are voiced by Clementine's VA! Telltale reused a lot of their actors from TWD for this game: Bigby/The Woodsman = Andy St. John Beauty/Toad Jr. = Clementine Snow White = Molly/Bonnie Mr. Toad/Bufkin = Hershel Beast/Tweedle Dee & Dum/Magic Mirror = Kenny Bluebeard = Lee Colin = Danny St. John Crane = Chuck There are probably more but I can't remember 😅

Im sure others have suggested it,but since youre going down this telltale rabbit hole..i sincerely suggest "Tales from the borderlands" after you guys finish this one. You dont need to know anything about the borderlands series to enjoy and understand it. Its one of my favorite games ever,beat it so many times. Borderlands is Very goofy,silly,obnoxious,immature,violent,brutal,gory,shocking, and overall just a heap of fun. really good emotion and characters drive the story!! hope you guys check it out ..LFG!!

Okay so some things without spoilers 1. Yes they reuse a lot of voice actors from TWD for this game. Some are more obvious than others, and someone else already commented the list. 2. Unlike TWD this is a game where your choices DO affect the ending quite a bit. The themes of the game are heavily centered around classicism and justice. Mostly the way that the justice system tends to favor the people with money and tend to leave the lower class people behind. (Thus Gren always picking a fight with Bigby about Holly’s missing sister). The more you make people fear you, the harder of a time you’ll have during the ending. You can absolutely get the answers you want by being more pacifist. How people view you via your methods through the game WILL come back. 3. If you had gone to see Prince Lawrence first, he actually would’ve lived and would’ve been able to tell you what was going on between him and Faith. 4. You guys are the first channel I’ve seen to intimidate Toad. If you choose the other option, Bigby points out all the lies and Toad folds and tells the truth. 5. That wasn’t Bigby’s full transformation :) 6. This story takes place in approximately the 80s which is why some things look older.

Fun fact that I think only the comics ever mentions is that Bigby smokes all the time to dull his sense of smell. He has such a powerful nose (being a wolf) that without the cigarettes the mundy world is too much of a sensory overload.

I think your group might enjoy the graphic novel series this world comes from. The way that fairytale characters interact, stories intertwine, and the rules to the magic that makes it all work is really cool. Fables is fairly popular and if I remember correctly was in competition with Once Upon a Time to become a tv series but wasn’t picked up and Once Upon a Time was produced instead.

Oh i love this game it's fun to try and remember which fable each character is in, can't wait to see your choices. From experience easy mode is hard enough first try. You guys definitely went a different direction than i did, I tended to try and walk a neutral path.
