Pretty sure their biggest mistake was firing 99% of their staff 😅 but whoever was in charge definitely screwed up by buying the licenses to way too many things, then expecting the dev team to make all the games at the same time. Kinda painfully ironic that the only people screwing up, are the ones who didn't get fired (or more like kinda absolutely normal for company big wigs), now we have a studio full of only the worst parts of Telltale games, while all the good parts either work for Skybound Games, or got scooped up by other companies

Remember how the beginning of a New Frontier had that cool, scary, mo-capped intro but then the rest of the entire game looked more robotic in comparison? Thats how I looked at those screenshots/trailer for TWAU2. I betcha what will happen is that they WILL release it, but it'll be frontier all over again where the trailer or one sequence in the game is motion-captured/well lit, and then the rest of the game due to budget constraints looks like shit. They also will probably keep the same choice scenario system the same as Enemy Withins/TWD Season 4 where only some choices change the game via a character death. Not the actual ending or an obvious nod to your playstyle perspective until the final episode, and if the main story sucks, it will be shutdown all over again. Props to you for making another vid to share your frustration on not just the game but yourself. It is definitely hard to talk about something that started your growth that is now coming to an end. But like you said, we gotta move on. Telltale so far has shown nothing of changing their ways. Not following them is not only better for us, but a good message for the tired workers who are most likely fed up and tense with getting this release out.

Some people really don't understand the severity of the situation at hand. Dom and some of us, including myself, have been extremely patient, but the lack of communication is just annoying at this point. "When we are ready." Which sounds like never at this rate, they had multitude of chances to announce something, but they either dodge or avoid it, who knows? When you really sit down go look at it, the picture really is grim. We have Telltale openly saying they didn’t have the capacity to develop games anymore and instead would outsource to Adhoc and Deck9…since then TellTale have split ways with both to handle things ‘in House’ We have written accounts from ex Devs stating they don’t know who/what is working on TWAU2, we have job listings slamming the company for its poor management. And on top of all of this. We still have no gameplay! Meanwhile the ex TellTale devs are showing off their new project ‘Dispatch’ which looks really good lol. The evidence for this game not even existing/being works on is just undeniable

"handle things 'in house'" Meanwhile their house is just an empty office building full of cobwebs and outdated computers they can't even afford to turn on anymore. I seriously will never understand how they thought firing everyone who makes games for them, was a good idea. It's like if you owned a distribution company, then fired all your drivers so you could pay for new trucks (or like when the land owner of my local shopping district raised the rent till nobody could afford to rent there, then renovated the place and expected everyone to come back. Now it's a ghost town, because nobody wants to rent a store there anymore)

This game is like a person who's been in a coma for 6 years. He may finally be awake, may finally recover, but his family and friends have moved on, forgot about him. I still love to play this sequel, I'm willing to wait for it, but I don't know when I'm going to move on and be done waiting. Hope we hear something soon, otherwise just... well...move on...

here's the thing, if they release it next year, nobody will really talk about it since every single person knows that 2025 is a year of gta 6... if telltale wants twau to succeed (and it definitely has to because if it flops, telltale will most likely shut down since they're putting all of their resources into that game), they'll have to push it's release date to 2026...

Sadly enough, I discovered your channel when Telltale closed back in 2018 right after they released episode 1 for TWD season 4. It was such a sad day for me. I actually found out about them closing through a video of yours. Luckily enough, skybound managed to release the remaining episodes.

People have to realise this is quite literally not the same “Telltale Games” anymore. After they went bankrupt the game licenses were bought up by a third party company which then rebranded as “Telltale Games”. I have zero faith in this new version of the company to produce anything of quality after years of silence and little to no communication with the player base.

We appreciate your dedication Dom, there's not a lot of us TWAU fans out there, and way less proper and professional youtubers. I don't have any friends who are as passionate about this game and the walking dead game as I am, but I always come to your channel to discuss with you and the community, I understand your frustration as we are all feeling the exact same thing, for me it's more sadness than frustration but hey I get it, it suckable seeing genuinely talented folks not get success. Telltale is the perfect example that talent just sometimes straight up isn't enough, you need luck too

Like hey i completely understand fam like its really unacceptable with the lack of transparency they have on the wolf among us 2. honestly i filed it away under a pipe dream along time ago it was anounounced when i was in high-school im now an adult. I was recently watch the walking dead telltale series again and what stuck out to me was the harsh declines in quality and all the cut content especially for seaon 2 I realized that the wolf among us seaon 2 would mostlikey be similar in the level of quality to the walking dead seaon 2 in writing due to how long and troubled its development is mostlikey

@DomTheBomb as someone who's getting into game dev you start to notice a common theme of miss management from the executives. Like they think they created the games that were good because they threw money on that their better than the actual creative teams making the game's story. And its always the people on the ground level that get punished for the executives decisions instead of these executives who made these choices in the first place.

It's definitely quietly cancelled. The first teaser came out FIVE years ago and the official trailer 2 years ago. Absolutely no way a Telltale game like this takes that long to make. Games like Spider-Man 2, Ragnarok, and Forbidden West which are all massive games in itself, took around 5 years.

As much as I hate to say it, the very least they can do now at this point is to just say that it's cancelled. Still keeping hope alive for this game because it's been over a decade but man, when we've heard nothing for 5 whole years, at that point, it's a wrap. Real shame too because this game had a ton of hype behind it but it's diminished so greatly that people have simply just stopped caring, and I'm on that boat too unless we get some sort of substantial info in the coming few months. Unreal.

I also have to admit that my Telltale period is over. I haven't played Bordelands yet, but I will. But now I'm waiting for the Wolf... well, by 10%, if you compare it to 100% in 2021? 2021 was a wonderful year. In early April, I completed Season 1, and since then, St. John's has been a local joke among my friends - I loved these two fools) At the end of 2021, I completed the game again, at the end of the year, and this partially made my New Year the best in my life. 2022 began with Season 2 and ended with it, and I will forever remember this atmosphere of a pine forest and the beginning of Clem's independent path. All 2022, I listened to Bigby's Apartments while falling asleep. 2022 and 2023 were hard years, and waiting for the Wolf was one of the things that kept me afloat. Well, it's 2024, and I have a lot of new things to hold on to. Wolf 2... wasn't reliable, and I'm sorry. I'm sorry I only have a past with Wolf. And I have no idea if there will be a future that will become present. Bye, Wolf. See you around. I still have a little hope.
