Not joking I don’t know if Michigan will even score a touchdown this time. I thought Michigan would make some major portal moves at QB and WR but they did nothing… Michigans defense will be insanely good but so will the Ohio State defense. I expect a low scoring game but there aren’t any play makes on Michigans offense besides Donovan Edwards. And that’s assuming he shows up like he did in the 2022 game.
@A2Fan71
@A2Fan71 22 күн бұрын
@@dragonsurge1 yeah, Michigan doesn’t have playmakers beside Edwards. I guess they no longer have Colston Loveland who will likely be a first rounder. Did they lose Will Johnson who is arguably the best CB in the country, and another first rounder? I’m pretty sure he was a “playmaker” last year when he got the int on Marvin Harrison leading to a Michigan touchdown! Tyler Morris showed what he can do vs Alabama in the Rose Bowl, and I think Fredrick Moore will be good, so Michigan has playmakers. They are going after WR’s and other players in the portal, so saying, “they’ve done nothing” is inaccurate! Transfer players have all the leverage right now, so it’s highly competitive trying to land good prospects. Michigan has three options at the QB position, and there’s no one currently in the portal that would be better. OSU will likely be favored in Columbus, but saying “Michigan won’t score a TD” is ridiculous. Michigan will have one of the best DL’s in the country, the OL will be better than most expect, and the state doesn’t need a prolific passer, so a combination of Orji with Tuttle/Davis will be fine. Michigan is not done in the portal by the way. They are in the mix for a DT, 2CB’s, a safety, and another WR.
@dragonsurge1
@dragonsurge1 22 күн бұрын
@@A2Fan71 My mistake, Loveland will be a playmaker as well. I didn’t mention Will Johnson though because I’m only analyzing the offense. There is ZERO question about the defense being elite. Michigan is going to bring in WR’s from the portal but my point is that all the best WR’s have already been taken. This is also why there’s no better QB option in the portal. All the best QBs have already been taken! I suspect Michigan would’ve gotten Taulia Tagovailoa before his transfer waiver got rejected though. Realistic best case, the O-line steps up, Donovan Edwards has a break out year and Orji outperforms expectations as a passer, heavily utilizing tight ends and running the ball himself. Realistic worst case, The new O-line has some growing pains, Edwards plays like he did last year, and Orji doesn’t separate himself in the QB battle.
@A2Fan71
@A2Fan71 22 күн бұрын
@@dragonsurge1 I don’t disagree with anything you said, and yeah I think Michigan would’ve got Taulia Tagovaiola if his waiver was granted, but I think with Michigan’s offense we’ll be fine at QB. They did pickup two WR transfers, Amorion Walker and CJ Charleston. I know that’s not the splash that fans want, but it gives up depth, and the portal still has some 4 star receivers. I heard they’re pushing for Elijah Badger from ASU. Honestly, with the coaching staff turnover, NCAA investigations, and with all the tampering going on, I’m just glad Michigan was able to hang on to most of its players!

CB, did you not watch Orji throw for 71% in the Spring Game like I did? He missed a couple of throws early, understandably, and then settled in nicely. Wtf were you watching that has you so down on him? He is a good enough passer and his legs are game-changing. The threat of him running also opens run lanes for our backs. Take off the blinders.
@davidhpruden
@davidhpruden 23 күн бұрын
I agree with this 100%. Everyone is immediately counting Orji out, as if our offense is predicated on passing the ball for 400 yards a game, when EVERYONE IN THE COUNTRY, knows it is not. He has been patient, diligent, and he will cause the Big Ten all sorts of problems. Give him a shot. People were saying the same thing about JJ at the beginning, "he can't throw it deep, he's inaccurate, takes too many chances," look how he turned out. Go Blue.〽

RE OSU game this year in Columbus: PLEASE REMEMBER that in 2022 we won there by 22 against a team that had Stroud, Harrison, Egbuka, Stover, Fleming, Johnson, Hayden, Williams, & Trayanum. Both teams played without their top rushers [Corum and Henderson], While OSU still has Egbuka and Henderson, Michigan still has Edwards, Mullins and Loveland. At this stage, until we see the two teams' respective QB play, the game should be rated a toss-up, with OSU having a slight home field advantage.
@dragonsurge1
@dragonsurge1 22 күн бұрын
You’re leaving out that OSU picked up the #1 RB in the portal, brought in Will Howard at QB and brought in Chip Kelly as the OC. Technically they got the #1 QB in the portal (Julian Sayin) but it’s ridiculous to rank him above some of the other veterans. Donovan Edwards was great in 2022 but he was inconsistent in 2023. I think Michigans WR unit is the biggest concern

Your right this game isn’t and hasn’t been won or lost on the outside in a long time. The hyper focus on the qb position right now is annoying. It’s like your expert analysis of the one full spring practice you were able to watch combined with some team scuttle butt tells you “ we don’t have a qb that can win a title” and “ Tuttle is probably our guy” just doesn’t read to me and doesn’t match what I saw on the field 🤷🏾‍♂️

You prove your total ignorance. All the players you mention played on the offensive side of the ball. THE reason for the loss was due to bad defense,. PLEASE REMEMBER Ohio State lost by less than a TD in Annie Arbor last year and has twice as much back. PLEASE REMEMBER that win in Columbus in 2022 was the only win in the past 28 years. PLEASE REMEMBER. do not bloviated, instead do the required research, so as not to embarrass yourself in the future

We just witnessed 3 of the most spectacular seasons in Michigan history. Trying to figure out why so much skepticism when you all seen development that has progressed throughout each of those 3 years. Team 145 is a 10 win team if the Defense gets off the bus & the offense knits quilts. We’re not QB centric, it starts with Texas, they lost a lot, 3 OLinemen drafted, 2 DTs…They will struggle to block us as did Bama. We will run the ball right at them. They couldn’t stop Washington with more pros on the field than they’ll have come September. We’re gonna re-write the script from 2021. QB will be decided in the fall & Ill trust who the coaches put in the driver’s seat at QB. osuCKS is being rated off of ⭐️ ratings, MICHIGAN should be rated based on proven production. A$$es will be booted because the chip has squarely been placed back on the shoulders of the reigning National Champions! Go Blue!!

OSU’s QB Will Howard is proven, both of OSU’s RB’s have proven to be great, WR Ebuka has proven to be great, and the entire defense is returning plus bringing in the freshman all American safety. OSU’s O-line needs to prove a lot next season but everything else is going to be elite with strong depth. Michigan’s entire offense is being turned over so there’s no telling what’s going to happen. They could be better than last year or they could be horrible

Cheapigan had THE worst National Title post season in history of college football. When they lost their Head Coach, who was replaced by an unknown. Lost most of their assistant coaches. Had 2 Assistants fired for Drunk Driving, Failed for some strange to resign MIke Hart. Lost the best QB in Cheapigan history a year early. Lost their 7 best O-linemen Lost 30 players from their 1st and 2nd strings of last year. Recruiting is not what it should be after a National Title, due to a cheap NIL program

I kinda agree. I do like Warren and Orji, but Tuttle has been sitting behind two guys that just got drafted in the first round for five out of the last six years. He did start some games at Indiana when Penix got hurt and has looked very good when given playing time at Michigan. In the last two years he has completed 82% of his 39 pass attempts for two TD's and zero INT's. In Michigan's offense, 39 pass attempts is easily a two game's worth.

The Tuttle praise is starting to get to me a bit. Going into his 7th year as a college player and what has he done as a starter? Hell how did it look when he was playing either here or indy?!? Even when tutle is healthy his ceiling is very low and with all this talk of protecting the football and playing within the system, if there is one qb on this roster that has already proven he will give it away to the other team it’s Tuttle. It’s part of the reason he lost his job in Indy was not just due to injury which is another problem with him !!!! Alex oriji is a far better athlete than him and has far more upside as a passer we know what Tuttle is Already. Develop AO and trust the system. You all sound like bama’s beat when they replaced milroe too early and we see how that turned out. If you believe jack Tuttle is a better option at qb on your team than oriji I suggest you apply for a staff position with mel tucker.
