A beautiful folk story. We Lithuanians keep a bowl of water by the fire, for it to wash itself. (Romuva, are fire worshippers).

Oh the old stories are so important but this lesson is to respect the elements and this one is the spirit of fire and fire was just doing what fire does she didn’t mean to burn the baby she was just being herself being fire it’s up to us to be careful and even when careful the spirit elements have to just be and do and that’s why we need to respect them all the time. But still this story absolutely breaks my heart ♥️
