Needs to be on DVD-- ASAP!! Many people would buy it for the nostalgia and resemblance to our life.

"After earning their degrees, Fred and Danica decided to return to show business." I loved hearing those words. Most child actors as successful as Fred Savage was who want to keep acting don't go to college or further their education. It's nice to know that not only the character kevin was a good role model but the actor who played him is one as well.

Me and my four brothers grew up watching this show on cable...Then we lost cable, then we waited for it to air on local tv (it did on ION televison in 2007) then they took it off...Now fast forward six years later, me and my four brothers catch it every night we can on Netflix. That is how much we love this show, it truly is one of the best tv shows ever. There is so much wonder involved in the show and each character has heart. That is why I fucken love THE WONDER YEARS!!

When I was a child I never missed a chapter or the wonder years here in Colombia south America, and I did whatever it took to watch it. After I lived in USA for 20 years and learned English, I noticed that the translation in Spanish was pretty accurate. Thank God I could record many chapters on VCR. Sometimes I use it for English lessons , The show never dies.

It's funny how a show, reminds you of the innocence of your youth. I remember a great deal of these episodes and wonder at times where did family oriented tv go. They don't make shows like this anymore. I miss those days. Great show is an understatement .

this show started/ aired its first episode when i was 4 years old. i started watching it a year later...and even though i didnt get most of the more adult themes, i grew up with it just the same. i remember daniel sterns narrations, and how they really got me thinking about life, and about what it would be like to be a teen, and what did the future hold. who would be my first g/f? i loved / still love this show. To quote the band, The Ataris-"Being grown up, isnt half as fun as growing up!"

I remember as a kid watching the end of this show, my jaw dropped when I heard Jack Arnold passed. I wonder a how a Degrassi style reboot would do. At least as a full length movie.

@BigdogH201 One of the most wonderful aspects of this show is how realistic it was. The truth is, parents die. The truth is, first loves don't typically end up together. This was the best ending for a show like this (although I agree it should have ended when Kevin graduated high school).

There is a similarity between the way this show ends an the way the movie Stand By Me ends.

I'm thinking they should do a reunion show, the time would be the 80's. Then maybe Kevin and Winnie could somehow end up together.
@princessUSA27 жыл бұрын
The amazing part about that show was it was REAL, you know? Everyone could resonate with it in some fashion, with some scene or another, with some character or another. Even the narration, it was just beautiful and harked back to everyone's childhoods and adolescent years. Even if you didn't live in the same time period the show was talking about, you could still find little tidbits every now and then to connect to. Everyone has a first love, everyone knows a person who has divorced parents or has them themselves, everyone has a friend who has been with them for a good portion of their life, some people have that older or younger sibling that just gets on your last nerves, everyone has a first job and that one special teacher. That show in a sense, was about all of us and no other show has ever done that before.

I think they should of toughed it out for one more season, just to show Kevin graduating from high school. That would of been a proper ending to the series.

It's not clear. He just dies. And it's well-explained why they wrote it in in this biography. A Parent dieing is part of life, and a huge thing about this series is how realistic it is.

Stop talking about reunion shows. They have ALWAYS ruined their original tv series counterpart. Live with longing for more but never getting it. That's part of life and part of what this very show was about. The Wonder Years and Northern Exposure - two of the best tv series ever written. They will forever be hard to beat.

Sad he had a wife and kids. She was away for 8 years college sucks. Is ok if Winnie made something of herself,but it says nothing of her not having a guy at least. I think they belonged together. I hated that. They disappounted on that and death of dad,but it seems they made up after his quiting. Brother at least did something finally. It did not say what he did to support that wife and son since quiting on dad.
