You are making a mistake by judging a team after one (bad) season. Dortmund had two new managers - and with that a huge difference in strategy. It is normal that the players could not do what they had done in the last seasons. Also we lost a good amount of players like Hummels, Dembe and Auba. Borussia Dortmund has no other choice as going for young talents. This is the only way they can make money. And you need money to compete on the international market and especially in the Bundesliga. If they spend money like in 1997, they will go bankrupt after a few years.

Most of our own youth don't make the cut at all, and are playing for other clubs. I love Dortmund, but lets not just make shit up?

Don’t get me wrong it’s great buying youngsters with a high potential to become a star however buying youngsters constantly destroys the club. Why? Because those youngsters will 100% move to another club especially Bayern which weakens the team and makes club like Bayern way too dominant in the league making the Bundesliga to Bayernliga. People are forgetting that Dortmund has great history and is pretty much a big club. Yeah, they've produced the most overrated bunch of players out there. Kagawa, Mkhitaryan, Gotze, Sahin, Schurrle, Gundogan, Dembele, Aubameyang were at Dortmund and most of the were flops at their new clubs. Only Lewandowski improved himself out of all of them(and they've gifted him to Bayern). Many of them are flops, injury prone or just didn't justify the price tag. Dembele is a 146M player, we will see what he does in the future, but his first ssn in Barca was horrific. Gundogan missed his first season, he is now a rotation players when Silva/KDB/Fernandinho can't play. Aubameyang is 29 soon, he is at Arsenal, which from today is a very uncertain and unpredictable situation for anyone to predict. I could mention Marco Reus also, he was destined as the next big thing for a big BPL club or Real/Barca, but he is made of glass.. Dortmund is a fantastic club, they have amazing fans and they play a good brand of football. But when you play for them, there is just a special "habitat" where almost anyone can do something with his career(look at Batshuayi).. When you leave BVB, then you see how good a player really is.

Taking into consideration that the core of Dortmund and Bayern essentially made the World Cup winning team of 2014, I really think that if you wanna hate, you should go to some other place. 1) Remember the Dortmund trio of Lewandowski, Reus and Gotze which tore apart every other club in 2013? Kagawa, Mkhi, Gotze weren't given enough playing time at their new clubs. They went to mega cubs which already had a hundred other players at the same position and who were better accustomed to their playing style. And hence they weren't given a chance to prove themselves. Sahin was loaned out from Real and later bought from Real so I really don't see your point there. And playing Nuri Sahin instead of Xabi Alonso and Luca Modric is just ludacris. Remember Dembele is still a 20 year old and has been injured out most of the season. This is exactly what the big clubs and their fans do. They take a player and expect them to be accustomed to the new system and the new players in just a week. Everyone is not Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. 2) We do not gift players to Bayern. You cannot blame either the players or the system if players want to win medals and trophies. Not everyone can be Marco Reus. 3) Dembele did wonders in Dortmund. Did not justify the price tag? Here's a tip, go and watch Dortmund vs Bayern semi finals of the DFB polkal at the Allianz Arena. You are going to see what he is made of. 4) Marco Reus moving to barclays premier league? are you actually mentally retarded? BPL is the most overrated league in the planet, with people talking about such amazing competition. If BPL has such an amazing competition, when was the last time England won the world cup? Its not about "habitat". Dortmund gives a chance for their players to grow. Thats why Dortmund is one of the best places where every young player aspires to develop at. But you won't understand what player development means. Coz the moment you said Dembele is 146 million, it is understood that you love the financial side of football. You see money in football. You see gain in football. You don't love the game.
