Hey uh in the beginning of your tutorial I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong but I am have everything exactly how u got it. How did you suddenly get such a clean riddim sound by just having a 1 or 2 logs and a square wave even with the acid. There’s gotta be very key steps you’re skipping.
@nico65032 жыл бұрын
at 10:04 are those all effects that you have on the serum patch? because I'm not getting the sound you have at all by just following what you show with serum + the comb filter from serum fx

Lol. Been through all the au5 hyper growl stuff. Have like 40 presets made of that. Got one that I basically use for everything. Now I need contrast. FEEEeeeeeeed me the wönk.

But like, being legit for a second. In my journey to make cool wet basses, I accidentally made this preset called “barf bois” as a joke..no clue how I did it, but it’s like the perfect growly type bass. Can’t say I’m proud, cuz it was like trial and error and I kiiiinda know what I did now. But, I just wanna express how happy I am to have that shit in my preset list....and naw. I’m not marketing a preset pack. Just, idk. Anybody ever make a patch that’s just perfect for what you wanna do? It’s like, the best feeling ever. I just wanna tell somebody. Nd I’m like the only dood I know who cares about this shiz.

Great tutorials. How is reverb used nowadays? In all dubstep, mainly tearout/deathstep and riddim

small room reverbs (low dry wet and decay time) are very common as subtle bass layers

Im soo deep into sound design at this point, 4 years of only serum for every sound in any track never a sample or preset. Never reuse a patch i design only techniques. There is something about the timing of my lfos and the shape of then on my patches that is not only betraying me at this point, but makes it impossible to make riddim. I dont get it.
