Yes used to love Emmerdale but stopped watching a long time now. The story lines just got silly, same for Coronation Street, I blame Eastenders the worse soap ever but it seemed to infuence the writersof the other soaps. I still have 'The Wool Packers' cassette tape.

By rhe late 1990s, country music overall had not only lost the considerable momentum generated by the so-called New Traditionalist movement of the late 1980s, but it entered a protracted aesthetic slump, which some contend has still not run its course. But then along came the Woolpackers. They took some of the basic foundational elements of the country and rock hybrid and breathed new life into them in a way that others of similar intent simply could not pull off convincingly. The result is one of the most enduring singles of the 1990s, as well as one of the post-New Traditionalist movement's finest moments. And the supreme irony is that the group itself is to an extent a spin off from a soap opera. A thinking outside of the box moment if there ever was one (Fun Fact: and this instant classic was also composed by Eddie Phillips and Bob Garner of the Creation). Job over the top well done.
