She said that the police go to domestic violence calls and inflict more violence on the women . Where is her evidence for that. And cops beating up transgender people is she talking about Iran?

Give me Camille Paglia any day. She is way more honest and clear thinking. This woman is an ideologue. Her use of the word Justice is purely abstract.

Totally. Even if i find Paglia's manner too hyper and anxious, she's brilliant.

Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms Section 28 requires that the rights and freedoms guaranteed in the Charter be implemented without discrimination between the sexes. Section 28 is often cited as a companion section with section 15 in cases alleged to raise gender discrimination issues (R. v. Park, [ 1995] 2 S.C.R. 836, Symes v. Canada, 4 S.C.R. 695

An entire career and most of her life, trying to convince herself that she's normal. It would be merely sad if she hadn't insisted on being so contagious.

Absolutely. I remember Richard Feynman's comment about social sciences. He said it's not actually science because he knows how hard it is to truly understand something. Judith Butler has done a lot of damage because of her vanity.

Imagine the privilege of getting to sit on your butt all day long year after year and just thinking and talking about crap like this instead of doing actual hard work that contributes to putting food in people’s mouths and roofs over people’s heads. I could not imagine contributing so little to society. I would be disgusted with myself.

It's honestly funny reading some of the comments being held below. It doesn't even come from a place of having the "right" view or scientific-based knowledge. Understanding ideas within the realm of Queer Theory and Anthropology, in general, has shown that in terms of sexuality and gender there is no one "right" way to be, the dissolution here is not coming from her or the idea shes trying to express, the dissolution is the people seeing heterosexuality and religion as the way we should guide our lives. Do Good Only Everyday. Just be a good person, who gives a shit about all the other stuff.

"right" view? There is no "right" view or "wrong". People who don't conform to what the broader society thinks of as "normal" are nothing new or special. They have been in all societies throughout human history. What is Funny is Judith Butler who speaks gobbledygook language and some people believe her a great intellect because of it. She's not.

@@quercusalba5441 Of course, u r right, non conforming people ain't new! But they have been humiliated and discriminated against down the ages! They have been underrepresented in art, literature and even in real life conditions e.g. in politics and other professions! And they themselves and the ones who even slightly empathise with them will, of course, speak about them and their rights, at least on humanitarian grounds! If speaking for and about them makes someone a 'not intellectual' person according to your opinion, then........🤷🏾‍♀️

She speaks for vulnerable people who suffer harm and violence, and talks about the emergence of hope and of social movements that can change the world for the better. Sounds pretty right to me. Why be afraid she's "influencing young people"? And what about her understanding of gender? She's not saying biology doesn't exist. She's just making a difference between biological sex on the one hand and gender on the other, gender being the way you perform certain roles. These roles often go with our biological sex, but not always. And even if our gender role goes with our biological sex, these gender roles vary from one society to another. In other words, it's different to be a man in rural Portugal and in New York, and different to be a woman in medieval Europe and in 2020 Paris. Not everything is reducible to biology, you know!

Jesus said you will not know when I will come... In the night like a thief... Christians have been getting the arrival date wrong for 2,000 years... Read about how the Jehovah's Witnesses and Seventh Day Adventists were born of the same failed prediction of Christ's return. Better yet, make a world that will make Christ rejoice in the goodness his children have wrought in his name. So whenever he comes back, you will be blessed in his eyes. Everything else will take care of itself in it's own good time.
