reminds of the early 90's at the horseshoe (downtown, not that crap place on the strip) when jack binion still ran it. we were playing dollar slots early in the morning and jack and the guards were going around with 5 gallon buckets of dollar slugs. he would grab a handful of slugs and toss it in your tray.

I love the fact that you picked up on the old school. That is why I stayed in Vegas so long! I used to walk from my home to Jerry's all the time, I lived in Northtown, I was never afraid to walk to Jerry's. I lived on North Webb. IYKYK. Oh, to be a young adult again!

Love to see Angelo still doing so good. He is so proud of the kitchen. Some friends worked there about 30yrs ago and they always said the kitchen was always so clean and that they never had a problem letting anyone see it. They do make a great Clam chowder.

I've got over 20 years restaurant experience including Vegas, California and Hawaii. I have never seen a dish pit that clean in my life. I do miss working in a big hotel with a cafeteria, those were the days. I had no idea Jerry's makes their own tortillas. Danny this was a truly special video.

Agreed. I've done all kitchen duties...dish pit is my favourite. I have a thing for shiny stainless and think the dishpit should be the cleanest area and, WOW....warmed my gizards. No shrapnel under their counters, doors all clean. Spotless and very impressive..

Danny, I want to applaud you. I am almost sixty years old, and admired how you stood up to shake his hand. My son always asked why I did not shake someone's hand while sitting down and I explained that when you stand up you can look them in the eye. Your parents did a GREAT job raising you.

A coffee shop where everything is made from scratch. Enjoy this while you can since this guy is 89 years young. One of the few casinos where the owner is still involved in daily operations. This guy knew Benny Binion and Jackie Gauguin and a very young Steve Wynn ( GN ) An OG casino that has loss leaders and weekly promotions to entice you back. Glad you found this place.

Even a Clean kitchen; will often have lettuce on the floor, trash from packaging opened during the rush, ranch spilled, a cup for the boiling water to change the soup texture...but that kitchen was immaculate! . ~ The owner is a great man, who is proud of his business!!!

When the casino owner takes pride in his product, that is the place to go! If I get to Vegas, I plan on staying there. I'll yell out loudly at the front desk and proclaim for everyone to hear, "I saw it on Danny the Medic's KZbin channel!" Umm, after thinking about it, I'll just tell them softly that I saw it on DTM's channel. I think that will work just as well. I'll be wearing my DTM t-shirt, oops, you don't sell t-shirts yet do you? I was there the week of the 7th playing craps. Played two afternoons followed by a delicious lunch. Try the tri-tip sandwich w/fries. Very good. The booths give you privacy and comfort. I always recommend Jerrys Nugget. The tour of the kitchen was outstanding. There is something to be said about the pride of the clean kitchen. Only a business with the owner on the property actively overseeing the operation can benefit with such care. I look forward to my next visit. A Las Vegas gem.

I noted that all of the employees were all middle age and above. It's indicative that they are all long term workers who are loyal to this hands on owner. This is the old Vegas casino that sadly is fading away. The kitchen tour was a bonus.

Jerry's Nugget is a class act! The desserts are iconic. The nachos are amazing, not to mention the hamburgers. Never had the prime rib at Jerry's. But, that will change. Those of us who live on the upper north side, LOVE Jerry's! They make you feel at home. The casino is friendly, the staff, well, just great.

I have known Angelo Stamis for Decades ( same Church ) . He is a Class act ! I have seen his Spotless Kitchen numerous times. Prime Rib,Steaks and his Desserts are mouth watering. Give them a shot, you won't regret it
