Thanks, Allan R. and Vic Levine for pointing out something that didn't seem right in the music. It is all about the original artist. No one lives forever, but Lonnie's defection for-profits hurt his bandmates, his music, his fans, and his soul. Having grown up on this music it makes all the difference. The old tapes have poor visual quality and are nowhere near as satisfying as the new HD quality material. The sad part is it would have been incredible to hear and see the original band playing together a few years ago. Nobody played the harmonic or had the harmonies like the original band. They were formed out of a collaboration with Eric Burdon formerly the leader of the Animals what an unlikely combination. The formulated something straight out of the getto and blessed us with incredible music...catch some of their off tracks like Country, City, Country. Bands from these days put artistry way above money and most would never have let a producer (money) get in the way. But if fans just keep buying it accepting MEDEOCRACY and keep paying for it that's what we will get. Take back the power especially over your music...after all YOUR PAYIGN FOR IT!!!

You should check out the original artists of WAR performing their WAR music, but under the name the LOWRIDER BAND, because their WAR name was taken from them.

Thank heavens I was able to see the original WAR during the '70's and again in the '90's before their nefarious break-up. Would've been much better for Lonnie Jordan had he simply gone solo. I'm thinking that many in the audience are either drunk, high or BOTH!! At least that would be MY excuse....

Yes Lonnie Jordan is the only orig member in WAR, because he sided with the producer & owner of the name. The other orig members lost in court the right to use the name. This is not unusual in the music world, lots of group names are decided in the courts which members can tour under the group name. Plenty of groups now tour with only 1 orig member and sometimes not even the orig lead singer. Let's just keep the music alive, WAR had some great songs.

Just because "this is not unusual in the music world", WAR fans should not continue to normalize the greed, and identity theft of the original members of WAR's, name and music legacy. Goldstein's puppet band called "WAR" is the reason 3 time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame nominated WAR might not ever be inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This is what REAL fans of WAR want to see for all the five surviving original WAR artists, and the two who have passed away. The Lowrider Band at facebook.com/LowriderBand is still WAR, without THEIR WAR name! No greedy producer is going to decide that for us! #WARforRockHall2019!
