Most of the tracks in PoFV are basically midislaps, so im not surprised but if zun is still following the pattern then that means we will get not just 1 but 4 new character themes aside from reimu and marisa's new themes.

I think they are talking about Nazrin's theme specifically (not Seiran or Aunn's). It's much older than the other themes and ZUN ended up rerecording it with almost all new instruments, which is something he hasn't really done before. It's probably cause he wants Nazrin's theme to be more uniform with his other modern work, and he might not even have access to the original VST libraries anymore.

I love this! I like the tune (idk if thats the right word) of the original, but I don't really like the way it, or most of the recent touhou music (18/18.5/19) 'sounds'. Again I don't know much about music so I find it hard to describe, just something about the way the instruments sounds I don't like, or they just don't sound satisfying. But this remake with the old instruments sounds a lot better to me.
