I just have to let you know that this is EXACTLY what I prayed for yesterday when I became a bit torn and upset about what I was hearing about women preaching and pastoring. Women are very important in God's kingdom, and I appreciate your information about 75% of the world being female or under 15. The way you spoke about this topic couldn't have been more exact of an answer than what I was questioning. Thank you for your humble answer to the scriptures and for your work overall.

So many people want to misuse that biblical reference. Was Paul not pertaining to a very exciting and ultimately disruptive time in the congregation that was becoming so disruptive, that Paul had to to advise husband's to answer their wives enthusiastic questions in the privacy of their own homes? Don't get me wrong, I am in complete agreement with a Godly woman's place being in wilfull and loving submission to Her Lord and Husband, but after comprehending this doesn't it stand to reason to reason that Jehovah has plans like this For some of his daughters?

You can look to women that God honored in the Bible for your answer to this. Even in Deborah's case, however, when the man in the situation had an opportunity to take charge, he passed the torch to her, and she said the honor would no longer be his.

No, Scripturally, the requirements for pastors in both Timothy and Titus say men married to one woman. Observationally every time women pastors have been tried, it goes badly wrong very quick. Thry are not made for it any more than men are made for bearing children. Perhaps it is because only rebelious women try to be pastors.

If Women are not needed in the Spiritual Kingdom then they are not eligible for Salvation too. Prophets can be both false and true nothing to do with the Gender. Christ Jesus never discriminated. He himself appeared to Women first then to His Male Apostles; He talked to samaritan woman; still I do not know why cannot they go above Gender! If you are to prohibit Prohibit false prophets and preachers irrespective of their genders. There is no such as Male and Female in the Heavenly Kingdom! "At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven." Those who have not yet experienced Heavenly Kingdom can only speculate. If Moses were all right; then Christ Jesus would have never come to correct that no sinner can stone another sinner. Moses were overridden by Christ Jesus. For Moses was just a Man whereas Christ Jesus God in Flesh!

Jesus discriminated all the time. He picked 12 disciples for future leadership trainees and not a woman among them . There were women among his followers and he certanly talked with them but he di not appoint any as leaders. There is plenty of room for both men and woman in the kingdom but most men and all women do noyt have the qualifications for pastors.

I have listened to this Pastor John's videos for quite sometime now and every time he is asked a question, he does the same thing, he beats around the bush and he doesn't directly answer the question. This one is easy. A woman can minister but can't preach or have spiritual authority. It is that simple. She cannot be a senior pastor. What I would have advised this young lady to do is to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and find what her spiritual gift (s) are. Then pray and seek God as to where her place is in the body of Christ. Simple answer. This Pastor John is all over the place. Does he understand what the Bible teaches? I believe that cannot articulate properly and he uses his own opinions to much. Stick to what the Bible says, Pastor John.

Chris, once or twice wrong is a mistake. John Piper is wrong most of the time as you observe. It is not ignorance of the Bible because he has done this as a living for decades. He just does not agree with what the Bible says and so picks and chooses slices of Bible and twists them to say what he wants them to say - just like the Devil did at Jesus' temptation in the wilderness.

If God calls a woman into ministry, she like men MUST obey GOD... also for the record, women can hear from God just as men can hear from God. Do you honestly believe all these women with testimonials of the calling on there life want to go forth & be treated this way; yet God continues to tell them that he called, anointed & ordained them for whatever call he speaks over them. I am grateful that God used both great men & women of God in my life to confirm the calling on my life & exactly what I was hearing. Women get to know God for yourselves, let him lead your life, even if others tell you that you can’t obey God. You have to answer to God.

This is so sickening. In the last days, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your DAUGHTERS shall prophesy (preach). So stick the women in Sunday Sunday school to teach the little kids while the men go and discuss real theology????? Silly orthodoxy. Foolishness. Have we forgotten Debra who was anointed to lead an entire nation? Is that not having authority over men? Who had authority over Barak? Debra! I am embarrassed for John Piper, someone I have loved and respected. Look around and see who is really supporting your church. If the women left, you'd have no church. Shocking and saddening, Pastor Piper. I am praying that your eyes will be opened.

I believe with the world that we live in today it truly takes great humility for a daughter of Abba Father to submit to the Order of God. In Genesis, we read that the Snake deceived Eve but during this conversation the snake was having with Eve, Adam was right there, Gen 3:6. You can see this wicked nature and tactics of the snake and the deliberate attack on the HEadship of the male. The snake going to the women does not mean so much that the women would easily be lead astray but more importantly, the snake bypassed the man, therefore, insulting his headship and went straight for his wife and began to entice the bone of Adams bone and flesh of his flesh! The attack has always been on the man! To all of you married men question...can you imagine you and your wife taking a stroll in the park and a stranger comes along and ignores your presence and introduces himself to your wife and begins to take her attention away from you and begins to entice her with his words... how do you think that will make you feel? You see the narrative is not Eve being weak but more about crushing the authority, responsibility, headship, manhood, order, the voice of the man. God created man in His own IMAGE, man and God fellowshipped together for a long while before Eve came on the scene. Imagine that! How encouraging that is to read that Adam had a wonderfully intimate relationship with God and that was without the assistance of a woman. This shows that men are very capable of having a great intimate walk with God. God gave responsibilities to him, He took him and put him in a garden which was already flourishing and only asked for Adam to cultivate it and keep it looking good. He gave Adam AUTHORITY to name EVERY beast formed on earth, sea and air and if that was not enough God gave Adam a companion... Dear sisters listen to The WORDS that came out of Adam's mouth and when he walked close with GOD. Adam says of eve...This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh and she shall be called woman because she was taken from man. Wow, ... These words are powerful and precious and also it was Adam who named his wife woman which means living. Names are significant and have meanings and here Adam was blessing his wife. This was a beautiful Order that God meticulously created and the enemy of God was waiting to destroy it!!! I digressed quite a bit..but i want to hit home with some Truths that no matter what the narrative of the world is, no matter if all the churches ordain women to be pastors and usurp the authority over men...The Word of God will still stand TRUE! Let His Mighty Word be TRUE and every man a liar. My Brothers, I encourage you to rise up with the power that God Almighty has invested in you to take your rightful places and reflect the image of Jesus Christ to a dying and lost world. You are an integral part of Gods plan when you men wake up and align yourself with the Word of God, you truly don't know what damage you are doing in the enemies camp. I ask you in the Name Of Jesus to rise up and don't allow the fear and dismay to take hold of you. Dear sisters let us intercede for our brothers to rise up from the shackles of the lies of the enemy over there precious lives. We pray for GOD Almighty's order to be established in our lives and not the worlds order! Thank you for your patience and God bless you all and God create in us a heart that is contrite and pliable and a hear that is receptive and full of love and humility that we Allow Jesus Christ to LORD OVER OUR LIVES no matter what happens in this fleeting world. Let us continue to champion our Loving Heavenly Father through the Power of The Holy Spirit in The Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

Woah come down there women, now let me tell you something real quick.. first of all read the word of God without flipping it around, you’re being deceived just like Eve was. Now read this carefully.. “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. Then the LORD God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” And the LORD God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”” Now notice how Adam replies to God and says “The women whom you gave here with me” so what that tell us is *here* isn’t used as in literally here. Now the reason he went up to her first in *HER THOUGHTS* was because a women is a weaker creation. I can point out verses from the scriptures many times. So now you are breaking Gods command once again trying to preach here when you are commanded to be quiet. *just letting you know....* Good day ma’am.

Ephesians 4 Paul shares about the five fold ministry: apostle, prophet, pastor, teacher, and evangelist in a very telling way. There are no gender exclusive terms used. Same with other passages that speak of the body of Christ, the gifts of the spirit, etc. Why did the Holy Spirit direct Paul in the original Greek to write these passages with gender inclusive terms? The Greek to English translation does s disservice in that predominantly masculine nouns and pronouns are used. It's just not so in the Greek. Also, one needs to take into account Deborah from the Old Testament serving as a precedent. She was a judge and, therefore, a leader and a teacher over all Israel. If God did it once, he can do it again.

Woman preach when God affirms. There were women Pastors, leaders, Judges, Prophets & an Apostle in the Bible & throughout history. Above Paul affirming some, God had already affirmed. There is no gender in spiritual matters as the scriptures clearly teach. Junia in the Bible was an apostle mentioned by Paul. Priscilla, Deborah the prophetess in the Old Testament led a war; Clara Celestia Hale Babcock first woman ordained & was a Pastor of four churches. I don’t believe woman answer the call for attention, & scrutiny, but bcuz they love & fear God enough to obey.

@@Mantleofrestoration I know it is offensive nowadays to say that Bible restricts something from women. Yet still it does it. It doesn´t mean women are inferior, absolutely not. Leadership is just about the order, not the value. General is not more valuable as a human being than a sergeant. I really cannot see where God affirms women leadership in the Bible. What I can see is that it is always a rare exception if woman leads. Woman judge Deborah lead because there were no men to do it. If there is no proper men to do the job, God can use women for sure. But it is not the ideal order. Priscilla was teaching with his husband. Junia who can also be Junias (a man) is very unsure case, because we can´t know if she was an apostle or just respected among the apostles. I wonder why Jesus didn´t pick six women apostles with six men. But he didn´t. Because God had made a certain order. And that is good. Not for opressing women, but for the effective community by certain hierarchy. Army has an hierarchy because that allows it to work in a war and pressure. And we surely are in a war if we are the church. And yet it is about order I hope that we don´t make this a war between the male and female. It is what the devil wants. Leadership is not about the power and opressing, it is about responsibility and servantship. And leaders can´t lead if they don´t have submissive team to lead, men included. Jesus can´t lead if we are rebelling against His Word. God bless

In Corinthians which a New Testament word, us women are to remain quiet in the church so we can’t be leaders or take charge in the church because women were the first to be deceived and so were easily more easy to deceived. And the Bible does tell us also not even talk in the church and go home but to ask our husband for understanding. We’re all equal to God however our roles are different ladies! And I once was sad that I couldn’t be a preacher but if it’s in the Bible I refused to go against what God instructed. So no we can not be pastors, or large roles in the church. We can still pass the gospel to a friend and family ofc. But the large authority roles and teaching roles are sadly only instructed for the men

It is time to leave and find a church that takes the Bible seriously. If they don't follow Jesus there they soon won't follow Him at all. This is happening all over. Here is the Divinely approved Truth especially written for the Elected daughters of Almighty God:. ...... "11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression" 1 Timothy 2:10-14 (KJV) That is the TRUTH, many now do not like it, and refue to comply, but there it is. And again we plainly see: "As in all the congregations of the saints, 34 women should remain silent in the churches. They are *not allowed to speak*" *[To talk, i.e. UTTER WORDS :- PREACH, say, speak (after), talk, tell, utter. -Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary] "But must be in *submission, as the Law says." *[To subordinate; reflexive to obey :- be under obedience (obedient), -Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary] "35 If they want to enquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is *disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church." *[A shameful thing, i.e. indecorum :- shame.-Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary] 36 Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? 37 If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, **let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's** command" 1 Corinthians 14:33-37 (ANIV) Anyone in here "spiritually gifted" ? @Earnestly contending for the faith as I initially said, the context of this passage is in no ways a generic one and therefore, this passage is neither. In both cases, it's solely about prophecising and speaking in tongues. In order to make a general statement out of it, you'd have to completely ignore the context and cherry-pick those verses, wouldn't you? Or, in other words, how does the context support your idea of this being a general statement, regardless of the setting?

Amighty God does not want women to teach and preach, and "usurp the authority" of men. He has forbidden it, for it is the Lord Christ himself who has given the command, through the apostle Paul. "As in all the congregations of the saints, 34 women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35 If they want to enquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is **disgraceful for a woman to speak** in the church. 36 Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached? 37 If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, *let him acknowledge* that what **I am writing to you is the Lord's ** command. 38 If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored." 1 Corinthians @-38 (ANIV) . As it is the Lord's command, that is the end of all rebellious arguments, for they run opposite to what the Lord himself has commanded. The authentic humble "Daughters of Sarah" will be eager and pleased to obey. The rebellious daughters of the "Devil and his angels" will contend to do the very opposite. For they have come under the curse of God as has St. Paul has well warned they would be. " That's why God will send them a powerful delusion so that they will believe a lie. 12 Then everyone who did not believe the truth, but was delighted with what God disapproves of, will be condemned." 2 Thessalonians @-12 (GW)

@@craighatch5262 I have to laugh when people say women can prophesy but not preach. What, is one of these 2 things hearing and sharing what God has to say and the other not? Just listen to yourselves.

the scripture is very easy to understand and very clear..there are no woman pastors .[1Ti 3:1-12 KJV] 1 This [is] a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) 6 Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. 8 Likewise [must] the deacons [be] grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; 9 Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience. 10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being [found] blameless. 11 Even so [must their] wives [be] grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. 12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well....

The apostle paul was unique being single he wasnt influenced by women to keep him from his ministry Alas today most preachers are married and can be compromised! Trust Holy Spirit for guidance Infallible and uncompromising!

@@Ancient_Rylanor I think pastoral role has nothing to do with preaching the gospel or seeking theological knowledge.

ONCE AGAIN! THE BIBLE STATES THAT WOMEN SHOULD NOT PREACH SO WHY ARE YOU LIEING TO PEOPLE? DON'T TWIST GOD'S WORD AND THIS SAME "JAZZABEL SPIRIT " IS WHAT IS FLOATING AROUND MOST RELIGIONS NOW. THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I DON'T GO TO THE CHURCH I USE TO ATTEND. FALSE DOCTRINES!. THANK YOU HEAVENLY FATHER FOR YOUR WORD!.

What does 75% of the 7 billion being women & children have to do with anything? The question was about women's roles in the church. I am sure that God meant for women to help men to organize, preach, teach, and to hold authoritative roles because that is what is stated in Genesis! Man was not enough on his own and he needed help. This answer was completely insufficient IMHO.

Your answer is nonsense. In Genesis a woman's "helper" position was subordinate to her husband. Eve did not hold an authoritative role and the one time she tried to lead she got them kicked out of Eden. Adam was at fault for following her lead. The 75% bit is Piper desperately trying to carve out a place for women to rule to placate feminists like you.
