You're correct! Basically, Dota's whole world is stuck in a time loop. Every time the Battle of the Ancients happens, the universe resets to set up a new, slightly different Battle of the Ancients. In other words, every individual game of Dota is canon. Even the ones with abandons and feeders.

@@kilat1791 i would not say that, since everyone got their own ideals and understanding of the game, therefore it's very natural for everyone to follow their own "order". So what happen if we "fuck order"? Chaos. People would become more ignorant towards each other. So with this in mind, it's probably still better to have a standard or general understanding of the game, so everyone could follow. This is why, we can't expect everyone to play like a TI winning team, when in reality everyone expect this to happen in game, therefore we need to exercise tolerance, so we could minimize tilting or other abusive behaviors caused by different ideals. Dota is almost like a mini-game of life.

The downside of order is that it can be stressful keeping the cohesiveness so one can argue just being chaotic and selfish is better and more freedom but that also has a downside hence order vs chaos is legitimate argument. You can say there is order in chaos when 5 players playing individually have one goal which is to win. However, not all wants to win and sometimes people just want to do whatever they feel like at the moment hence why the griefers and cheaters.
