Maybe he doesn't want to do it. It's a quirk of nature being able to draw, not a magical gift that needs to be pursued. There are plenty of artists who don't make a penny drawing, painting etc.

I’m the same way. As a simple example, I designed and drew my channel logo as well as other channel logos over the years. I simply don’t have as much time for drawing these days. My daughter has inherited the talent though. Hope she takes it somewhere.

I think we over-estimate our ability. I can draw to a degree as well, but I am not a fine artist. I had ability but lacked the drive to compete, so I dropped it. Which is fine - there are enough artists out there, who can't find work as is.

It's absolutely cool to be blessed with the ability to extrude figures in three dimensions like this intuitively, but drawing is available to anybody willing to put in the work if it doesn't come naturally. Just draw circles and then turn them in the spheres with wire grids. Look up the Loomis method and you'll be able to go right to faces from there. I'm assuming Melvor knows all about this stuff but he's just keeping it on the DL

He probably isn't fast enough to be a portrait artist. Have a look at working portrait artists, many work on the streets and are expected to achieve results within 30 minutes. I really don't think a lot of people appreciate how hard it is to make money with art. Unless you get "lucky" - it's seriously difficult.

Somebody should mod the Mario Paint mouse into a Stylus/Pen! I think it can be done, it would be better anyway. You probably could pay your rent, since you have the skills. I'm sure plenty of people would commission a Mario Paint artist for art, there may be a market honestly. I like what I seen and you should show us more!
