Cursor doesn’t do that. It’s the only IDE i use but it’s impossible to do anything at all without actual dev knowledge. You’re the person us ‘just okay’ devs would forever need.

While this may be beneficial for seasoned developers, it's not ideal for beginners like me. Writing code manually is crucial for learning and understanding the fundamentals. totally disagree. You are thinking too narrowly. if you let that happen, you are not learning the ai tech and assimilating its power into your work. Programming now requires imagination, language and library and framework memorization and comprehension, and typing and proofreading skills, debugging, etc. If you can delegate the bottom skills to ai, you will be able to grow and develop the topmost skills, learn how to harness AI coding and you will become a truly gifted programmer. You remind me of a caveman running to hide in a cave because the new technologies "fire and the wheel" are going to take away your purpose and diminish your skills and make you little more than a gatherer of nuts and berries.

To put it simply, if you don't know what a calculator is or why it's used, how could you use one? @@fkxfkxlearning ai tech doesnt mean use it. Do you imply using chatgpt will make you ai tech user? For beginners its important to do everything yourself, to develop your critical thinking. Learning ai tech is understanding the neural network, gradient descents etc. You can make your own ai model without relying on ai lol, its just math, statistics, data science.

This has copilot built in, plus chatgpt. I've been using copilot for about a year now and one advantage it has is it works in Visual Studio Pro whereas this seems to just use VS Code.

I didn't see any value add over github copilot right now. Maybe if it even provided editor capabilities to be executed with AI instead of surfing the ide menus and clicking all over for different stuff and settings, then yes, Could truly say it's an AI first code editor.

I just want a simple ai that just does autocomplete, I don’t want it to write chunks of code, something slightly better then tabnine. Every time I use ai I end up spending more time than actually just reading the docs :/ I pretty much just want a language server++
