Golf needs to be played at a reasonable speed. I disagree with Dan on that point. Anything over 4.5 hours is starting to erode enjoyment. Momentum is part of the game. You can lose momentum if you are being held up all the time.

I get what you’re saying, but would probably say the exclusiveness feel all depends on where you’re playing mate! It’s a mixed bunch of people in golf, but you definitely do get a lot of stuck-up people that want to keep it as exclusive as possible (and kill the game in the process).

Loved this one. Thoroughly agree with Dan, its all about the journey (in everything). I remember more about the laughs, friends hitting the ball backwards (by mistake) or sinking in the mud on a so called dry lake 🤣I'm sure everyone has their stories too.

Dan is absolutely spot on with what he said about the direction of golf - the same perspective I, and a lot my mates share. The days of too much tradition, and old fashioned etiquette are over, it's not appealing tot he new generation of golfers - successful clubs are finding a good balance!
