We now have a MAJOR PROBLEM with the perception of Optimus. We do not know when it is FAKE, controlled by a human vs operating 100% on its own. Example: WHY would Optimus, after catching 2 balls, look right and shake its head 'Yes!'???? There is no reason for a robot to do that, but a human controller would look at a coworker and shake his head. For Legit Transparency, autonomous Optimus can continue to be white, but Controlled Optimus should be a different color, have a stripe. or Something to Identify it is a Test Platform. Ah, yes you said they did admit later the it was 'teleoperated', however there is NO way to tell watching the video clip. It Needs to be Clear or we are going to start seeing FRAUD posts from Tesla Shorts. WHY give them material to use when it is so easily prevented?
@yourcrazybear2 күн бұрын
@@LifeMyWay007 There is no major problem with Optimus. What is being demonstrated here is also the new hand that can catch balls. Training an AI to catch a ball is no problem.
@LifeMyWay0072 күн бұрын
@@yourcrazybear I changed it to add 'the perception' of Optimus. There are those that will use "fake" videos like this to blah blah blah about it is a scam, will never work, on and on. The issue I am talking about is as people share the video, how many will make clear that it was human operated to test the hand (totally legit) vs letting people assume Optimus is catching balls Fully Autonomous (arguably somewhere between misinformation and fraud to the public and investors)? This is the first time I saw the clip where it was stated Optimus was teleoperated, and that was halfway through the video. Even I, an Elon fan and Tesla stockholder was thinking there was something fishy going on with the clip and I did not like it. It is free "proof" for the haters to hate and do all the BS they do. A simple color change or even sticker on Optimus to identify it as a teleoperated test platform clears it all up - for everyone from investors to reporters to haters out to destroy/discredit the company.

Is there any real reason why every Optimus couldn't be preprogrammed to know everything that a modern doctor would know ? Able to contact local hospitals and emergency services almost instantly ? Law enforcement when it seems prudent ? Couldn't they all learn what an individual learns ?

As Tesla is released in greater numbers into the wild, each Optimus will learn and can add their collective abilities. I imagine Optimus having abilities in something like an App Store. If company B purchases Optimus to use certain equipment, company A may have already trained Optimus on how to use the equipment. Optimus may have vastly more capability than a human within years (hard to say).

Yes and yes. Optimus is replicated from humans, so logically will follow a growth arc of humans. To become fully functional let’s give a human ≈ 25yrs and incriminate starting at 0 then progressing through 2, 4, 6, 12, 16, 18, 21, 25. Think back at each time period in your life and then compare it to your current state and ask, “what can I do now I couldn’t do then. Optimus can’t just burst out and become an NS-5 from I, Robot. It progresses through a similar arc as a human, but what makes Optimus so special vs humans is the learn-iterate-learn cycle most humans never do. AI training is a given, however, we cannot exclude the hundreds of immensely talented individuals continuously applying the LIL cycle towards Optimus. Optimus will still follow the progression arc but at a velocity never before seen. Elon has stated many times it’s about the machine that builds the machine and the supply chain is part of that machine.

A teleoperated arm with five fingers on the hand is not a humanoid bot replacing millions, much less billions, of human workers. It's a small component of the hardware and none of the software. The software is the greatest challenge. Gibbons have far more remarkable hardware, including hands, but they're not about to replace much human labor. If Teslabots are performing all sorts of useful work in Tesla factories, where are those videos? "Elon says" is the only evidence a true believer needs.
