I hope that for a 100k the production model has some handrails to hold on to. Still not a realistic price for most boat buyers. 100K still gets you a lot more in a traditional combustion engine boat. A boat like that for 50k competitive. Got a ways to go yet

So….I had a 6 meters boat couple of years ago….bought the boat for 4000 euro and bought a Yamaha 40hp 4 stroke with amazing low consumptions . The engine was 6000 euro . New . Now the point is WHY would I pay 10 times more for a same size boat ? A boat is a toy, is not a work tool . You use it 30/40/60 times a year . Please understand I am not criticizing but saying WHY would one spend 100k on a 6 Mt boat ?

Some people are already spending 60-70k on regular petrol powered 6,5m boats. And over 100k for a Tesla even though you can get a higher quality and comfort diesel/petrol car for half the price. Just because you wouldn't do something doesn't mean other people won't. Also, this is progress. The last boat (8m) was 300k and people still bought/buy it. The next one might be 60-70k.

@@BilldalSWE tesla dropped their prices this last week by 12k here . They are cheaper than Volkswagen in Italy . Read the comments to this video you will find what the majority of us think of the price of this battery boat .

@@albertobenelli I was refering to the model S which is still 115k. And no, no Tesla is cheaper than a Volksvagen petrol/diesel car the same size in Italy. A Golf Variant is 28k and the Model 3 is 45k. In any case the lack of vision for future progress on here is astounding. The fact that some rich people buy boats like this pave the way for (lliterally pay for) future models that are better AND cheaper. When Tesla released the first Roadster I bet you were on youtube saying the range was to bad and no one would buy it...

@@BilldalSWE the comparison has to be made with a vw passat variant which starts (starts, with manual windosw) at 40 k . TESLA has not reviolutionized anything, electri cars existed before ICE cars . TESLA sales are pupmped by USA goverment in USA and by EU with EV sales targets / co2 emissions regulations . EV are as meaningless as E-boats . They may be a thing for small lakes . Not for the sea . and not for the road .

So you buy the electric boat with little range and then buy the gas generator to recharge the battery to get you home or just store a 25hp kicker motor to get you back home. I agree that this is just a boat for virtue signaling. Extremely expensive virtue signaling at that. While I have seen you preview the other electric boats with the BMW electric motors, this doesn't do it for me. Sorry.

There are places (like lake Balaton) where you are not allowed to use internal combustion engine boats, and you don't need huge range for dayboating, It would be perfect for that.
