The replica of the 1958 post Munich phoenix is a brilliant piece of artwork by Stephen Melgie Merry.
And the football is one of 58 created by Terry Chapman that are a unique tribute to the Busby Babes
Both gifts are poignantly appropriate because MUSC Malta was founded a year after the Munich Air Crash.

The 1958 badge represents a mythical phoenix rising from the ashes of Munich. It’s the badge that was worn when our survivors and a patched up team miraculously reached the FA Cup Final at Wembley 3 months after the crash.
