Martin Dihigo 5 Time Hall of Famer
Martín Magdaleno Dihigo Llanos (May 25, 1906[1] - May 20, 1971) was a Cuban professional baseball player. He played in Negro league baseball and Latin American leagues from 1923 to 1936 as a pitcher and second baseman, although he excelled at several positions.
Dubbed “El Maestro” or the Master he is considered by many to be the best Cuban Baseball player ever and his exploits on the diamond have resulted in his induction into 5 different baseball Halls of Fame. He was wizard on both sides of the ball, playing all non-catching positions and even pitching which contributed to Martin Dihigo 5 Time Hall of Famer resume.
Update: There is credible debate over the stated Dihigo holding position as minister of Sport. It appears this anecdote may be an embellishment which has incorrectly been accepted as fact and more likely that he never held any position within Castro’s government. Dihigo's family reached out after I had published the original video quoting this information, this video is a revised version correcting this.

Five time Hall of Famer. Shoved into the background by racist Whitey and Jim Crow. His manager Cunberkand Posey said that "Dihigos gifts afield have not been approached by any one man. Black or White." The great Buck Leonard and many others called him the greatest player of all time. Able to play any position on the diamond. Including catcher and pitcher. Had Dihigo been allowed his rightful spot in the Major Leagues he could have went down as the greatest player ever. Countless peers believe he already was.
