Wait a minute...! I have been on the shortest ferry ride in the world and it wasn't in Canada. It was on the island of Curacao in the Caribbean and it takes a minute or so to go from Punda to Otra Banda or vice versa. This ferry is only for passengers - No cars or any other vehicle...! Maybe that's where the difference is...

Kris Reid Yes, they told me it should be open in a few months when I asked a person working there. They plan to keep the ferry running though, which I like.

I didn't know that the ferry took cars.I thought you parked your car on the Toronto side .

You do park your car on the Toronto side. I think the cars are just for the workings of the airport.

@@Torontopia There is also another smaller parking lot on the other side for people who keep their planes at Toronto City. And also in the video an Ambulance was going over, they have to do that to pick up patients from the Ornge Helicopters.

+Tore Fjelldal It's a very political issue in Toronto. A lot of people (especially residents living on Toronto Islands) don't want a bridge, because they feel a bridge will mean an expansion of the airport.
